The Celtics were 8-4 with Perk this year.  27-9 with Shaq.

We'll be fine
I'm with you--the whole notion is a tad ludicrous.

As am I.  Some people are going just slightly overboard.

Yep. Some day when Shaq comes back from this mystery injury and maybe some day when Jermaine O'Neal grows a new leg or gets a clone leg from a lab and they start playing basketball the way they used to, then maybe we can evaluate this trade properly. By then it might be the preseason of next year, but hey. We'll be fine

  • Let them hate, as long as they fear
Im just glad I dont have to watch Perkins scowling face anymore.
And someday in the midst of time,
When they ask you if you knew me
Remember that you were a friend of mine

this has to be sarcasm? Perk missed half the season and we managed to have no. 1 seed. This slump would of happened trade or no trade

Is this serious?

I don't post/read the forums much but it seems like every post Megatron makes is absurd

I don't agree it's absurd... it's just a classic Megatron post, like when he posts the Los Angeles clippers (or another lottery team) are a legitimate playoff team just because they keep with the Celtics in a game.

I find them funny, and I won't dare to argue with those posts. A TP for the laugh, Megatron.

In my eyes, Perk was not our MVP. We've read here posters complaining about his stone hands, his incompetent offense, his stupid turnovers and moving picks... I always liked him, and we could live with his flaws because he was giving it all on the court. Right now, he's not a Celtic, I like him and wish him health and success unless he's playing against the Celtics.

Now the Celtics are waiting for the O'Neal brothers, and are playing Nenad, Baby and Green alongside KG. Not an ideal frontcourt, but I'm sure they'll end playing better team ball. I don't like the losses, or having the Bulls and the Fakers with a better record, but it's not over until game 82.

By the way, posting Perk was our MVP makes a lot more sense than posting Scalabrine is better than Krstic. We better relax and wait until the month of April.

Go Celtics!!!

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Yeah, I will assume that Megatron is at least half-joking. Obviously he wasn't our actual MVP, but apparently the starters on this team depended on him so much - either on the bench or on the court.

This really has been difficult to watch. The Celtics are supposed to be this veteran, battle-tested team, but we are finding out they are just babies. They can still break out of this thing, but their road in the playoffs is now becoming much more difficult.

Who would have thought that by making our team better, it would make our team worse? And, yes, I do believe we are considerably better.

Rondo is this teams MVP but he's playing like a lost puppy dog. If this team loses in the Playoffs because of poor play by Rajon i wouldn't be surprised if they moved him.

CP3, Ray, Pierce, KG, Shaq (or whoever)

is better than

BAD Rondo, Ray, Pierce, KG, Shaq (or whoever)

that's a fact, if Rondo is so stubborn that he can't put his heart into winning... I'd rather take the MVP caliber PG that's would LOVE to win a championship with this group.

Chris Paul isn't coming through that door.

As far as Rondo is concerned, we made our bed and now we have to sleep with him.

The loss of this guy has turned this team into a lottery team, since his departure we are comparable to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

We knew he brought more then stats to this team, but wow, I never realized he brought THIS much. He pretty much made this team what it was. He was our LeBron.

I never knew it but now its obvious.

Kendrick Perkins was our best and most important player. His presence alone wether on the court or on the bench propelled this team. He was our core, without him we are nothing.

Without him, we cant even beat the worst teams in the league.

I hope we somehow turn this ship around but I have no idea who is going to carry us to victory since Perkins isnt around.
Can you please remind me what our record was while he was recovering from that knee injury? Surely it must have been putrid, since, well, our MVP was out.

Perk did heaps.

Maybe we could get one of the Celtics Dancers in the starters to puff her chest out and get no stats. Thats about as intimidating as Perk was post injury.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?
