How can we make work a trade Rondo for Chris Paul work?  Can't get it to work on trade checker.  Paul is likely going to leave NO.  Would NO take a Rondo for Paul swap?

Would be great to have a point guard that can run the team AND shoot!  Chris Paul would look really good next to the Big 3.  Team wouldn't be able to double off of anyone.

Always been a Rondo fan, but I am fed up with his inability to shoot.  He's becoming a huge liability, especially down the stretch of games.  After 4 years of very little improvement in that area, I'm not sure he's ever going to learn.

numbers-wise, I guess you could toss in Jermaine's expiring deal and get it to match up and save them money in the long run

I wonder if Paul is an injury liability now though

I think we would have to take on Okafor or Ariza as well and possibly throw in a first, but I'd be more then happy to do that as Chris Paul is significantly better then Rajon Rondo.

If Rondo does what he usually does in the playoffs and we win it I'm sure most people would still be against this.

That probably would be the perfect time to snatch Paul though while Rondo's value is high

It's probably not worth it if they have to take Okafor back in the deal. Too much dead weight in salary. Limits the team's ability to rebuild after the Big Three.

I'd be happy to add Trevor Ariza to the roster though.

Would you give up Chris Paul for Rondo?  We would have to sweeten the deal.

That is a concern, but with all of Rondo's nagging injuries lately, he might be an injury liability himself.

Well if Paul was going to leave anyway, they would need to get something in return and getting Rondo is not a bad deal.

Good chance Chris Paul decides to leave New Orleans before 2012.

I think next summer might be a bit too soon though after all the issues he had last summer. Probably be closer to the trade deadline when his frustration reaches boiling point and he lets the team know that he has no intention of re-signing there.

At that point, a trade package based around Rajon Rondo looks very good. It'll be hard for NOH to get a better offer than that.

No it wont, Chris will be coveted by almost every team in the league. He is a game changer. Other teams will come with better offers than just Rondo.

We can only take on chris paul since he has a 15 % trade kicker, that's 18.8 million. So Rondo, JO and cash so he can be bough out.

I would hesitate alot before I even consider doing this trade.

I wasn't in the game thread, but can anyone tell me what the hell he was thinking with that floater with about 15 sec to go?
Davis' last three looked better >:(

I don't care about the 1 seed in the east, but I have a bad feeling LA is going to have HC if we play them. You'd think these guys would be motivated for that. No reason to lose to the sub par teams.

I feel better now, thanks
Back to wanting Joe fired.

You would love him if he was a Celtic.
