Pretty crazy article. Hunter has surely been making the rounds for the past year or so to build relations with players.
I hope they work something out, too, but it's a bit of a unique situation:
If my boss is losing money, I would expect to get laid off. The union's position seems to be "if you're losing money, it's your own darned fault, so pay us anyway.", to which the [less-rich] owners will respond, "with what?"
It seems that the owners are coming together to put the screws to the players, but for this to work out for players, they have to hold on long enough for the owners to turn on each other and have the weaker teams hold up the richer teams for revenue sharing. That might be the most reasonable solution, but it seems more likely that the players cave.
