needs more love. this kid is absolutely beast. Pierce has always been my favorite player, but recently while watching games there's been so many times where I've found myself secretly wishing Pierce gets benched so Green gets more time.

Great thing is you don't have to bench Pierce to play him. I prefer him at the 3; but he can play the 4. All of our players except Shaq, Rondo and Kristic can play multiple positions.

Those 10 pts of his certainly helped to make up for Paul's misses. I'd hate to see where we'd be if Jeff wasn't here.

I don't go so far as wishing Pierce was benched, but in stretches Green has looked really impressive. You never really appreciate the "jack of all trades" label until you see it. Ball handing, shooting, athleticism..whole package.

Its when he's missing shots that you remember the 'master of none' part. When he's making them, he's just a master.

More to the point, this would be a fine time to rest Paul and then Ray for a game or two.  I see no reason not to push Green's playing time up to 30 minutes, at least, while doing so.

We're going to want all the vets charged not just for the playoffs, but playing down to the wire in the regular season. RR, KG, PP and RA could all use a couple of games off.

His defense has already gotten much better.
Doc stuck him on West for quite a while vs the Hornets and he did a good job containing him and forcing him to shoot hooks and leaners.

Offensively he looks awesome.  He has tons of moves and can score from anywhere.  I havn't been too excited about any other aspects of his game.

But i get your point, Pierce could play the 2, and Green the 3. If that happens, it would be unstoppable. Jeff Green is going to be a GREAT player, I could see it. A hidden gem

What patience and trust you have though. Pierce has a bad stretch of games, and you want him benched? Wow

I just love this kid's game.  I hope we can resign him.  With a bit more passion, he could be at PP's level...eventually.  He just have got to want it more.

Heard Doc say he could defend three positions; but not seen it for myself. He also has a lot of familiarity with teams out west, so could help with matchups against Lakers as well. Odom is no longer a matchup problem and Green can give Artest some trouble.
