Yes, probably. The guy is 32 years old (younger than Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Shaquille O'Neal) and he already has 5 rings. I don't know how many banners he would have hoisted if he weren't paired up with Shaq early in his NBA career, but the fact remains that he is a proven winner and a clutch performer.
I think some of the comparisons between Bryant and Jordan can be misleading considering the fact that Jordan revolutionized the SG position with his offensive capabilities & athleticism to the point where SG's today are still influenced by his play-style.
In today's game, most NBA teams have multiple (or at least more) scoring options to chose from on offense, which might make it unnecessary for a SG to be the number 1 scoring option the majority of the time if they weren't shooting a high field goal percentage (compared to the league average).
