Still too soon to judge the trade, but I know what I got out of the deal: an OKC Perkins tshirt jersey.

It's a lot easier for Perk to fit into OKC's system than it is for 5 guys to fit into the Celtics system.

Still too early to "revisit".  Perk just needs to show up, get some rebounds and play defense on a team not known for defense.  Big deal... he got 9 rebounds while his teammates shot 57% from three against the Wizards.  Get the parade ready.

Right now the Celtics are trying to get 5 guys caught up with a system that is notoriously hard to pick up (we've seen several players struggle early with it), a defensive system where mistakes aren't an option and an offense highlighted by 4 all-stars.  Right now not only are the new guys struggling to learn, the remaining regulars are struggling to learn the new guys.

Give it time.  The Thunder aint going anywhere this year.  I see them shopping Perk in two years.

So?

Still a very nasty dunk of Wade over Perk. Who cares about what it means?

You tell me...you obviously thought it meant something by putting up that video in this thread.

Saw the vid, looked for the first Perk thread I saw and posted it since I didn't want to create another thread just for a vid.

There is off topic thread too. Don't try and mask what you were trying to do here...that video had nothing to do with the trade...except you trying to take a subtle shot at Perk and the people who don't pray at Krstic's shrine yet.

I don't normally call out other posters, but if Roy hadn't started this thread I wouldn't have wasted a few seconds reading this nonsensical back and forth.

should we just revisit the trade after every game?

Perk limited to 18 minutes tonight... 4 points 5 rebounds... couldn't play him down the stretch

Green + Krstic combine for 30 points 10 rebounds and 4 blocks.  10-15 shooting.

ONce the thunder start dropping games it will become apparent how lopsided the talent differential was in that trade.

For the record: I think Perk is a perfect fit in OKC.  They just need size.  A big body is what that team needs.  They have Kevin Durant on that team.   But Boston got the best player in that trade.  Perk can continue playing 18 minutes a game and contributing his 6 points and 6 boards and Jeff Green can turn into a fringe all-star and it will still probably be considered a win-win trade.

Im not confident that Perk will be anything more than a bunch of fouls this year.

Ibaka is a younger, fitter, more exciting centre.

I agree, I think there isn't a lot of pressure on Perk. He will continue playing excellent interior defense and putting up minimal stats, and that will be okay.

I do think that there is a ton of pressure on Green, though. Like it or not, he is the reason Perk isn't here anymore and a lot of people are upset. He doesn't exactly have an alpha personality, so he just needs to find his niche. He is actually playing a little better than I thought he would this early. The more he plays, the more he will fit in.

Watching the Lakers play tonight, their BIGs are so healthy ....and seeing the C's sluggish outing makes me cringe.

Maybe Perk can help us still......BY KNOCKING the LAKERS out of the playoffs....... I feel sick..

Lakers bigs are soft as tissue paper!
Bosh Spice and outdated Big Z shredded them when they played the Heat. It's not hard to dominate them. It's like punching through paper towel...
