I hope Danny trades KG for Bargnani soon...Bargnani is younger..and puts up more points on the board. Defense is so overrated.

so now Perk is a HOF defender, one of the best of all-time ? ::)

I see two nba players named in that post. KG and Bargnani...Where does Perk come in?....save your eye rolls for another post perhaps.

you're obviously comparing KG and Bargani to trading Perks defense for Kristic's offense. Come don't be silly  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

No no...don't you know we aren't allowed to say anything about Krstic unless its along the lines of "Krstic is amazing"...or "Krstic is awesome".

I just want KG off this team now. He had a major knee injury last year and is getting older. Bragnani is the future. Don't be silly.

See here.

Also, please quit it with the excessive emoticons.  It's mocking.

he's obviously insulting my intelligence by saying he wasn't comparing them. sorry for the overuse of emoticons, I'll only use one from now on ::)

Your analysis of Perk is a pretty favorable one. Basically perk is a good defender (not great) and has one of the highest FG percentages good for 5PPG. I also disagree that he is an above average rebounder.

You have no notion whatsoever of what is average rebounding. 13th league wide for players with more than 300 minutes played.

Perkins is one of the best low post defenders in the league, an excellent shot-blocker and a very good defender in other aspects of the game. A top-6 defender at his position. If that's good or great, I don't know, but it surely helps to win games.

Offensively he's a highly efficient garbage man. Those players have value too because there aren't enough shots for everybody to score 20ppg or 15ppg or even 10ppg.

I think people here are underrating the value of players who offer good defense + good rebounding + highly efficient low usage scoring.

Whatever man Perk couldn't even stay on the floor for more than 25 minutes a game and pulled down 7 or 8 rebounds. You can find whatever stats fit your argument but the fact is Perk is not known for being one of the best rebounders in the game period. We'll see how it plays out in OKC. I think Perk will do OK there but in no way is he going to be this defensive force game changer for them.

Gotta respectfuly disagree here.

So far from I have seen of Krstic, I love him and love Danny for making the trade.

And Jeff Green is a beast!

I like him and I think he is better than Perk.  After what 2 weeks?  He's better. Period.  End of story.  Maybe I'll change my mind come June, but based on what I've seen of Perk and what I've seen of Krstic in 2 weeks.  Hands down, Danny made an Auerbachian STEAL !!!!!!!!!

Krstic is basically as advertised...nice offensive player, soft in the middle on defense.

Green has shown glimpses of being a beast, but his defense should be a lot better given his physical attributes. I don't understand why he struggles on defense so much...

I think this is a bit of an oversimplification.  While Krstic is not a shotblocker, he is a decently stout defender.  He can handle guys in the post very well, and rotates to help pretty well.  He is not going to dominate on the defensive end, but I have not really seen anything soft about him.

If Krstic is being overrated because he's playing with 4 All Stars, we need to ask the question whether anyone who played with the Big Four has been overrated, Perk, BBD, and others included.

Disagree. He's not static and puts in the effort, but he does not seem to alter penetration into the lane. very similar to Big Z.

It's the reason OKC was looking for a player like Perk.

I think that the Celtics should retire Curly's number.

Because hes coming from a team that didnt play any. At all.

He's being overrated because his shots are falling and people overrate scoring/underrate defense and rebounding.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.
