Jeff Green Is Len Bias Reincarnated.

  Len "frosty" Bias was born November 18th 1963 in Landover Maryland.

 He died June 19th 1986.

 Jeff was born Sixty two days later. Just miles away, August 28th 1986.

 Both went to Northwest High in Hyattsville Maryland.

 Both stand six feet eight inches tall.

 And their bodies and athleticism are very similar.

 The Spirit of Len Bias was clearly ashamed that he never got to fulfill his dream of playing for the old aging Celtics that so desperately needed his  injection of youth.

 And so Len asked the great basketball council, if he promised to be on his very best behavior, would you be so kind as to give me a second chance, so I can live my dream and play with the Celtics.

 The Supreme Basketball Council better known as The "SBC" in basketball heaven, thought long and hard about his future.  Sixty two days to be exact.

 And so they granted the spirit Of Len his wish, on one condition. That he could not have not one drug or not one drink until he reached the NBA.

 Not one Drink! Len shouted! Sorry, I'm sorry SBC. It's just, well OK, whatever you think is best for me.

 And we will also make you play for an expansion team to prove you can handle the NBA Life first, then you may be traded to the Celtics.

 Oh thank you, Thank you, SBC. I will not let you down.

 You better not my son, oh and one last thing we have to take away a little but not much of your ability, as this is the price you must pay for your unfornunate event.
 
 We will also make you more humble, and more of a "glue guy" if you will. You will happily back up veterans for as long as we se fit.

 So good Luck my son, we wish you well. May many championships Lay before you.

Count me in. I didn't even see the game, heard it though. So it was a defenseless team. Green saw an opportunity with BB out and didn't let us down. He averaged 15 pts and 6 boards for OKC. I don't think BB would be able to keep pace with Green's minutes played in OKC. He could use some beefing up though.

Jeff Green couldn't hold Len Bias Jock strap! Len woulda been revolutionary like Jordan is
now. I also think Jordan's brand would be diminished a Tad bit with Len taking a couple of his titles. Boston's window woulda extended until the mid 90's. And maybe beyond. Bias dominated Jordan in college and just as heralded. He was bigger faster and stronger than any SF or Guard in the NBA at the time. Think Lebron James with a jumpshot and more toughness.  So Jeff is not on Bias level at all. Green is more of a poor man's Paul Pierce.

Maybe still p---ed Bias cheated us few who had happened to see him play live a chance of seeing his greatness. I'm convinced Jordan wouldn't be THE Jordan we know today. And the Celtia may be on banter 20. If I can grant one wish in my life besides anything for myself or family it would be Len's life back!

Enjoyed the OP...TP.  Reminded me again of Lenny. I watched him at Maryland for four years become an incredible, well rounded player.  As much as I hope that Green approaches the greatness of Bias...so far I don't see much other than their similar stature.

I think this is more wishbone than backbone. I think Jeff Green will be a very good player in this league and hopefully will stay in Boston for a good part of his career. But Len Bias was supposed to keep the title train rolling and deny the Lakers and Pistons their day in the sun before giving way to Micheal Jordan and Scotty Pippen.

I'm not sure Green will be as good as Len would've been.  That's not a knock on Jeff; many people thought Bias was destined for elite stardom (like top 5-10 player in the NBA good).  

However, I do think that this could extend the window for the Big Three, much like Bias could've done for the original Big Three.

i have heard Lenny Bias described as the one player in the game who would have stood toe to toe with Jordan and kept the Celtics at the top of the league.
