Miami offers more playing time, better weather, and lower taxes.  I understand the appeal.

Boston offers the chance to be a legend.  (Well, a P.J. Brown style legend, but a legend all the same.)

And excellent chowder. That would be a big part of my pitch.

What about that red stuff they serve in Manhattan?

Only strengthens our argument, really.

"I'd like to present you with two types of chowder, Troy. One of the chowders is delcious, the other.... not so much. Symbolic? I'll let you be the judge. All I'm here to do today is to put this contract in front of this 10 gallon jug of New England clam chowder. What you want to do from there.... - that's in your hands."

Call me crazy, but I appreciate a bowl of the red stuff every now and again.

I hope the Brousard story is unfounded, but I am not surprised if Murphy chooses the sun and more PT of Miami over Boston.

3 spots open and boston is going to end up with Chris Johnson and Leon powe....great

No offense to you, but can someone ban him until after this whole process is over and after we know where these players land? It's honestly turning into a trollfest.

Seriously? You want him banned because you don't like his posts? Unreal.

Actually, no. I don't mind when I have a differing opinion. When I go into practically every thread on the front page and the same poster is posting the same exact thing and being incredibly negative, then that's called TROLLING. That post was actually kind of tongue in cheek but the fact still remains. He's trolling.

It's not trolling and he is not a troll. Ignore his posts if you don't like them.

Trolling is insincere and designed to agitate other posters.  I'm no mind-reader but I think I can safely say CIO means what he says and doesn't care much what others think of it.

Anyway, nothing we can do about the whole buyout thing except sit back and see what happens.  My beer will still be cold tonight no matter what Troy Murphy wants to do.

Yeah, the fact of the matter is that if both O'Neals get healthy, Murphy won't play here.

Even if JO never comes back, he'd have a tough time cracking the 4/5 rotation of Shaq/Nenad/KG/BBD/Green.

While I hope he comes here, the simple fact of the matter is that he could find more PT in Miami.

first to boston, now to miami, both rumors cancel each other out as far as i'm concerned. personally,  don't think danny cleared out three roster spots for a guy from the d-league.

Wasn't Chris Broussard the same guy who said that Melo going to the Lakers for Bynum was almost a sure shot?

It's a toss up IMO between whether Murphy goes to Boston or Miami.

Not now with Sherrod's update.

Now this is a flashback. I remember when the Cavs signed Moon and a lot here thought the end was near.

We'll be fine, just wait and see......

i am a lot of things...but i am no troll. I am however concerned that boston made a real effort to create roster spots to bring in some guys that can really help this team win. I have concerns about Shaq and JO..and would like one more legit big that CAN play...not chris johnson, not dan gadzuric. murphy would have helped big time

if he goes to miami..where does danny turn? he has 13 players (1 a d leaguer, 1 a 38 year old center that has had every part of his leg hurt this season and the other is a guy that hasn't been able to earn his MLE)...i just don't see any big out there and boston is in dire need of one..

BTW i like brewer..don't think they get him..but i like him..

I think the fact that the first source was him coming to Boston and the second to Miami makes it a lot different. You'd have to think the latest source has the latest news on the player. Either way, I think it's silly to get depressed over what a reporter says who claims that they have an unnamed source.

Yeah, he's not trolling. If anything he's spamming the same "crap" in various threads, but that's about it.

Oh well, same thing happened last year on our road to the playoffs so whatever.

You think it's a trend or Blakely just re-iterating what Broussard has said?
