Given a choice, I would take Murphy over Brewer. He is worthless on the defensive end.

It's going to be pretty ironic if we trade away our starting center to sign a small forward, and then the best player we're able to land in the buyout market ends up being a wing.

Perk + Brewer > Green + Krstic, in my mind.

I think we should hold our judgment until we see if Perk is physically able to play for the Thunder this season and contribute or not. If not, the trade was a necessity and it would explain why Danny didn't hesitate when offered the opportunity.

Maybe so, but it's a moot point...  What's done is done.

Yeah, but it doesn't mean Danny gets patted on the back for miscalculating.  Not a good decision by #44, if this is how it works out.

I think you are either dramatically overrating Brewer, or underrating Green.  Brewer is a borderline NBA player.

still like the trade...think having 2 wings would be great...but if danny fails to sign a good big man...then it takes some luster off it

Bulls were offered Corey Brewer before deadline and declined. Also showed no interest in him when in Minny. Butler still leading candidate [for Bulls to sign].

Brewer would be a nice addition.  But I think our depth hurts us here.  It'd be tough to convince him he'll get substantial minutes here.

He'll find that same problem in other teams I would think.
