If Green and West are healthy, then Wafer is a spare part. Both Green and West are 20+ minute players off the bench with only so many minutes out there. Green can play with Pierce (Pierce being the SG)West can be the SG with Rondo at the point.

Well deserved rest. I like VW in limited minutes. He has been increasingly productive for us. I like how he can attack the hoop, has a nice 3 point shot, and is unselfish, willing to dish and get the other guys either looks in the second unit. This guy has really grown on me, and hope he sticks. Oh, and he works very hard on D!!
Why? That was the whole point of the trade. We already narrowed our playoff rotation to 2 perimeter players (unless West is injured in which place we're screwed)

There are 25 games left and Ray is averaging 36.1 minutes a game. If he can play fewer than that the rest of the way, how can that be anything other than a good thing? And even if Ainge picks up Bibby and DWest plays mostly at the 2, there are going to be matchups where Wafer's size would be useful.Mike
wafer is the primary SG back up at this point to Ray
