GState beat writer says there is zero chance murphy is in a GS uniform again

Good news.  If we can add Murphy to the team, our offense off the bench will be very potent.  West, Green, Murphy: all capable of scoring in a variety of ways and playing off Rondo/Pierce effectively
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

imagine a bench line up of west wafer krstic, green and murphy...that is better than some starting NBA line ups...then you factor in baby and 2 other signed buyouts...the bench is going to be lethal

Wow, I didn't realize how good of a 3pt shooter Murphy is for his career 39% on 2.3 attempts per game.

He is also a beast on the board up until this season when he hasn't played much . Averaging 8.5 for his career.

Can anyone look up his post defense and pick and roll defense is he a strong defender?

He's a pretty slow, stiff, and lazy defender.  It's a major weakness.  I've read at least a few reports that his defense is so bad that it makes his offensive and rebounding contributions neutral, but I think that if he's used in the proper spots, he can be a big asset.

I agree that it's got the potential to be a pretty fantastic bench.  However, what NBA team has a starting lineup worse than Krstic / Murphy / Green / Wafer / West?  I feel bad for the fans of that franchise. ;)

well, that lineup is better than the cavs starters, and they just beat the Knicks. It's only 1 gam, but just sayin

Nah...  Give me Mo (or B.Diddy) / Sessions / Eyenga / Jamison / Hickson.  Even better if you give them Varejao, and if they reconfigure the lineup to include Parker.

Anyway, I don't want to go off on too much of a tangent; we've got the potential for a very good bench.

Aside from Wafer all of those guys have started for much or most of their careers.  If your 2nd team can compete with the starters of a non-playoff team I still think that's impressive.  Realistically these guys are going to face the 2nd team of the our opponents and I don't think anyone can match this depth.

Tim Kawakami says there's no update yet on Murphy's buyout:

No resolution yet between Warriors and Troy Murphy. It comes down to buy-out terms. Why does it always come down to W's & agent Dan Fegan?

What are our chances of signing Dalembert? He would fit in perfectly and he's been playing very well lately.
You are no longer black, or brown, or yellow, or red! You are now GREEN, you are light GREEN, or dark GREEN!

there is probably a better chance that Sheed can still see his toes past his belly when standing upright

they should give cousins the time

I agree, but it looks like they tried to see if they could get someone to bite by the trading deadline but they won't let him go now.
