Yeah, sounds like a bluff.  They're trying to knock Murphy down a few hundred K on the buyout price.  They don't really want him there as a very pricey rental on a lottery team.

We'll see though...

If they can get Murphy a wing that can shoot aka a kapono and powe... that is a heck of a pick up to pair with green and curly...

After all the reports that he was going to come here, I assumed he had been bought out already. This must be a negotiation tactic to lower the money he gets before he leaves. The warriors aren't going anywhere for a while so they have no use for him.

It's poker time.   We need to get at least a 6'10" guy which leaves Leon out.

I really don't see why people are wanting Powe back. I'm sorry to be really negative and put down a player cause after all it's a game but really. The guy has had 3 KNEE INJURIES! 3!!

Some are justifying the Perk deal, maybe not here but elsewhere, cause he has knee surgery and just got injured again with his other knee... that's 2. Powe had 3 and people want him. lol. really? Powe is done and really can't contribute anymore to a team beyond filling garbage time and even then Doc would probably hold his breath every time Powe left his feet so no thanks, next player please.

I wish Powe was healthy and never got that second knee injury cause he would have an impact and I'd love to have him back but he did get injured and then again this season so sorry... have fun in the d-league or euro-league or a different crappy team.

anyone we sign for the 15th roster spot isn't going to see any important mins in the playoffs anyways . Why not fill it with someone who know the system and would be a big chemistry boost to a team that is bummed out over losing a brother. They get a brother back in Powe ( don't forget this is an inspirational guy )

It is worth it just to try and build unbutu again especially with Green and kristic joining too.

i would rather have a powe than a mo peterson or some other guy. powe hasn't played n 2 seasons so he has had ample time to get his knee right...40 games wouldn;t hurt...i wouldn't take him as my 1st choice but if they have murphy and a wing and want to add some depth and toughness on the frontline..

I haven't kept track of Powe this year and am wondering; has he been healthy?  The last thing we need is another guy who is in and out of the lineup.  At any rate he's too undersized and not what we need.  I'm not even sure I want him as the 15th man since we also have Bradley who likely won't get any meaningful minutes down the stretch.

He hasn't played much, but when he has he has contributed. Don't know how his knees are doing since I haven't seen him personally.

I agree, I just don't see T. Murph staying in Golden State. He wants to make the playoffs, and GS aren't doing that this year. They really have no incentive to keep him... Sounds a lot like posturing to me.

We don't need Powe, we need another big (not undersized) and someone who can handle the ball.

If Powe is healthy, then yes he would be a wonderful addition however why isn't there more thought to Dalembert being available? The Kings will probably buy him out and he gives the Celtics a great shot blocker. Good defensive guy, has flown under the radar for a few years because of that terrible contract Philly gave him a few years back.

I'm not convinced we need another backup point guard.  Quite frankly, I don't see Bibby or Ford or anyone else with any talent coming to this team to play the whopping 5-8 available minutes behind Rondo in the playoffs.  Thus, any player we're going to pickup to play the backup 1 is likely going to be some D-League guy no better than Avery Bradley.

Thus, I think we could afford to sign Leon (Luke's replacement), another big (Erden's), and another wing (Daniel's).

I wouldn't mind Powe as a 15th man for old time's sake, but I don't really see how he'd help us.  KG, Baby, Green... no injury questions, no minutes left over.

A veteran 3rd string PG would probably be marginally more useful to hedge against Delonte's health risks.
