Danny obviously has something lined up people. He wouldn't just trade one of our key centers, without a plan. Especially when the two other key guys are hurt.

I hope on everything that's important to me that you're right.

I'm all for it...  I've never liked Perk.  Maybe he'll learn one day not to continue to bring the ball down low for guards to steal it or feel the need for that useless dribble before going up "strong" to the hoop.

Green gives offense, and Krstic can do everything Perk does.  We got the better of this deal...

100 bucks that Sheed is now back too.

I think this may be right

It only makes sense. If there is another guy around that defends Dwight better than anyone it is Rasheed Wallace.

Maybe his plan was to help OKC beat LA while improving the backup 3 spot while getting a replacement center who isn't hurt.  ;D

Just trying to be positive.

Perk was the only center who could go against Bynum and Dwight for more than 15 mins at a time. Shaq, JO and Semih can't do that.

He just has a strained MCL...should be back in 2 weeks or so. We know how he attacked his rehab and came back sooner and fitter. We won't get a harder working center and a better fit.

I hope so too. Just trying to be positive and not panic.

Plus Jeff Green is still a very good player. I am happy we have him now.

Lakers, Heat, and Orlando must be having a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing ball right now seeing this.

Perk was the only center on this team that could do that yes. But Danny has to have something lined up to bring in someone else who can.

This is BULLEdited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline..

Jesus Christ, Presti really is the best GM in the league.

Danny hit the panic button for no reason on this one.

  • No contaban con mi astucia !!!
Who knows Perk real status?
How hurt is him
How much is he helping
How Healthy is Jermaine and SHaq
How much Jeff Green and Nenad Kristic could help
Jeff Green is a very lovable player with size and athleticism
not much to dislike
I know perk size its a difficult asset to get but if Kristic is included i can see it.

WIllwait to make a desition on how i feel about this one even if i like perk

1. jeff green is a starter in this league. he will provide depth vs the heat and lakers (odom)

2. Krstic scores more at center

3. can't see this deal being done if the Cs felt shaq and JO weren't online to return

4. perk was going to be too much money to resign this offseason

5. i look for boston to pick up troy murphy if he is bought out..if not him..i do expect Sheed back

There are plenty of Greg Kite's, er, Perk's out there...  We just moved an average big man with knee problems.  Not the end of the world...

You guys really want to pay Perk what he wants?  Not me...

See: buyout candidates or some big guy waiting to ride the bus to a title opportunity...  Shoot, PJ Brown could still help this team...

Usually lurk on this forum but had to comeback to post.

Totally shocked.

Although ESPN just reported salaries don't match and more then likely Nate is involved. What about getting Ibaka or a pick back? That would make it a bit easier to swallow

NVM: Nate was just a dump to match the salaries :(

This would be quite a shocker but I agree that Perk is overrated as a player by our fan base.  That said, I have always loved his intangibles.

We'll see how it shakes out.
