What are the contract situations for Green and Kristic?  Are they on the books post-2012?

Both expire this year.

Which matters little, because the Celtics will have no cap room to work with anyways. The only way to bring back Green is either with Bird Rights (assuming they will still exist in the new CBA), or the MLE (assuming it will still exist in the new CBA).

I think its true...Woj is now reporting that OKC have acquired Nazr Mohammad too.

It's Geenn + Krstic for Nate and Perk.

Noooo Perk....

Oh well.

I guess Ainge figured we weren't keeping him this off-season.

There are plenty of Greg Kite's, er, Perk's out there...  We just moved an average big man with knee problems.  Not the end of the world...

You guys really want to pay Perk what he wants?  Not me...

See: buyout candidates or some big guy waiting to ride the bus to a title opportunity...  Shoot, PJ Brown could still help this team...

Perk was an elite defensive big who we were lucky to get 5 points out of. A little better than "average" but I still wouldn't want to pay him what he apparently wants.

However, the Celtics need to have something else lined up or else they just hurt their chances for a

I think this trade makes us weaker. I absolutely do not like our center position anymore. It is like we have the same lineup of has-beens and nobodies that Miami has at center. I think this weakens the team's chances to win 18 this year.

nba is a guard wing league...they have done fine all year without perk...this matches them up better with the heat actually

Oklahoma just became a legitimate contender in the West.

An Ibaka + Perk partnership defensively is very impressive. Especially with guys like Westbrook, Sefolosha and Durant on the perimeter. They are weak offensively but Westbrook and Durant will still pack a powerful punch.

Those guys are going to be a nightmare to play against in the playoffs.

It sucks too because Perkins worked his ass off this season to get back on the court and make another run at the NBA Finals. Does Danny suddenly forget why we lost?! Let me spell it out for you: R-E-B-O-U-N-D-I-N-G.

Jeff Green is a restricted FA next year.

Well for now I'm shocked but I gotta trust danny, they must have seen something (perk not re signing next year/injury)

But 1. Ibaka and Perk in OKC, would Perk start and who does OKC put at PF/SF assuming KD fills one of those??

2. Semih starts now until SHaq is back? Kristic as back up C?

IDK, I'm in Perk withdrawal and alcohol will be consumed to numb the pain, BUT we got rid of nate and got a back up 3/4ish thats young. Unless something else happens, were riding the injured O'neals and Semih train at C (weirrrrrd)
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

According to Shamsports:

Green has a qualifying offer option for $5,908,641 for next year (don't know if OKC picked it up yet or declined it).

And Kristic expires this year for $5,543,116.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class
