This trade is done according to RealGM. While Hinrich will help the Hawks as a PG because he is a better shooter and defender than Bibby, Jordan Crawford was the best player in the deal. Washington got the best end of this deal.

Oops, thinking of Jamal Crawford. I guess Atlanta did get a decent deal here.

Not sure I would have given up the 1st rounder though.....

I think Washington did OK here. They got a first when they dealt for Hinrich, and now they get another trading him away. Bibby to mentor Wall, or will they flip him?

Hinrich a big upgrade over Bibby defensively. Nice deal for Atlanta. But they still look poised for a first round exit in the playoffs.

Hawks upgraded. Hinrich is underrated and much better then Bibby. He compliments their lineup well and his salary depreciates each year. Also got a big who has six more fouls and block some shots in Armstrong. This draft is supposed to be bad, so I doubt the pick matters. Hinrich would give Nelson issues in the first round with his defense. Bibby was a spot up shooter at this point in his career.

Very nice trade by Atlanta.

Mike Bibby is a shambolic player that has no business playing regular minutes on an NBA team anymore ... replacing Bibby with Kirk Hinrich is a very good upgrade. Major addition to their supporting cast.

It does cast even more doubt about the Hawks ability to re-sign Jamal Crawford this offseason. They are pretty tight with those purse strings.

Big move for the Hawks.  They added a guy that is actually a starting PG.

They have improved the team defense.

The good thing for us, he didn't go to LA.

TP for "shambolic".  I have no idea what it means but I love it.  Must be the adjective for sham :)

I think Wall might mentor Bibby into a nearly adequate backup......I kid, sort of......
