Initial reports by Ken Berger suggested Boston had interest in Hinrich, but that seems to have gone by the boards.

Atlanta is close to acquiring Hinrich, apparently for Jamal Crawford, although other rumors are out there.

Spears is reporting it as multi-player deal. Maybe Boston will be involved somehow.

Yeah, I like him, but don't see how helps that much.  He isn't a 3.

It's because we have no trade assets.  I also laugh every time I read a report that says the C's are unwilling to part with Semih and Bradley.  You have to give something to get something.

Multiplayer, but two-team deal, apparently: Kirk Hinrich and Hilton Armstrong for Mike Bibby, Mo Evans, and Jordan (not Jamal) Crawford.

If this goes down, Mo Evans might be someone to watch as a potential buyout candidate.

Edit: Or, perhaps, rerouted to Boston via trade. Marquis for Mo works, straight up.

If your players have little value, you at least have to pretend they have value.  Parading Semih and Avery doesn't garner much attention, but perhaps you spark a pinch more interest by saying you are unwilling to part with them.

That said, GMs aren't fools -- no one is giving much for those two (and I like both of them for the moderate ceiling rookies they both appear to be).

Actually, Sherrod had mentioned last night that Avery Bradley has been the "most inquired" about Celtic in past couple of days.

I'd be very happy if we could somehow get Evans here. He'd fit the bill for a hard-nosed, athletic wing who can knock down the occasional jumper. Better option than either Parker or Butler.

The story is being reported by several outlets, so it seems to be a virtual lock at this point.

Hawks are also trading their 1st rounder to Washington.

We really don't need to be included in this, but we could be just to sweeten the pot with a draft pick or so.

Crawford to Washington, JHoward to Boston
Hinrich to ATL, Quis to Washington
Luke to ATL - bought out with trade exception

In a perfect world I would love Hinrich as our backup combo guard instead of Nate and land JHoward as our wing. But that won't happen or will it Danny?
Can't stop, Rondo!

Didn't see it for us, and don't really see it for Atlanta.

Whatever, he definitely wouldn't have helped us one bit with Delonte healthy, as he is basically DWest-lite.

This is actually kinda fun, it's like the beginning of July only with actual games being played.

What will DA do?

Will Bibby be bought out? It makes sense. If so, Riley will go after him. Atlanta improves quite a bit. Strong perimeter defense. If Josh Smith would start playing more fundamental defense, they'd be a candidate to upset any of the contenders.
