Good point mmbaby, if there is one thing that's clear about Baby, he defiantely likes and wants the limelight, likes to take the big shot, etc... which means he's a gamer and he wants it, he wants to get "there"
He has made noticeable strides with his weight every year. The main reason you can tell is by how his face looks from year to year, it's slowly getting more angled and less pudgy. It means he's losing overall body weight...
But I agree that he has not taken that final 100% committment like Perk, Ray, Karl Malone, KG, Pierce, etc...if he does that he will reach another level with his conditioning and that will pay immediate and very positive dividends for him on the court.
Good point Meadowlark, I do not understand either how a pro athlete can't simply hire someone for his diet and show up in shape. I mean all they have to do is show up for work, eat right and work out 365. I'm sure if any of these guys want a trainer or a nutritionist, these people are at their call, 24/7. God I'd love to have that.
If Baby lost 30 he'd be around 260 lbs, biggest small forward in the league.
I think in the neighborhood of 15-20 lbs can come off in pure loose hanging fat on theat upper body. Replace that 20 lbs with either muscle and stay at 285 to 290 or just take the fat off and come down to 270 to 275 and Baby will be able to do everything he is doing now, and more, just a a much higher level than he is now. The better athlete you are the better you will perform.
