Nate is a very valuable player as a 10th man.  A guy you can throw out there when you need some offensive firepower, and who can get out of there when there is a bad matchup.

The problem right now is that they have no other options to counter when teams attack him defensively by matching him with a bigger guy like Livingston.

I hope the C's can keep Nate as a 10th man, but I think we will have a significantly worse chance of winning it all this year, if he is playing a bigger role than that.  I think West will be the backup PG by the end of the season, and if Daniels is not going to be back (which I suspect), I think they need to really look at replacing him with a legit wing...and if it costs us Nate to do it, then so be it.

The job of the second unit is to maintain or expand the lead. With Nate's poor offensive production, he is worthless to us. Worse, he is a liability. If he were producing offensively to offset his defensive shortcomings, then it's a wash and that's OK for the second unit (maintaining the lead), but he isn't.

As Chris alluded to above, as a 10th man, situational-type player, he is great. As part of the regular rotation, not so much.

I agree that if we can turn him and our other few meager tradeable assets into a decent sized wing, let's do it.

I can't see Nate getting regular minutes once Delonte returns.  Delonte will be the backup PG and Von Wafer has outplayed Nate.

Trade Nate for a backup 3?

If we don't trade and we do have to waive/cut someone to bring in a 3, whose salary do we eat?   Nate, Luke, Avery or Von Wafer?

What better time for him to step up than now, with all of the injuries? Yet again tonight he is garbage. I am sorry for continuing to beat this drum, but the guy absolutely stinks. He is worthless and a Complete negative on the court. Trade him for a bag of balls.
