Yes, Nate cannot guard livngston, but agin on offense he produced zero, missing wide open threes again

But he was also being guarded by Livingston when he was on offense, who was still a full foot taller than him.

Sometimes livingston was guarding him, sometimes not. Bottom line is the guy has played like 4 good games all year and has added nothing to this team.

Pretty much. Nate Robison had a 20 point game in a blowout vs the Hawks who were missing Johnson.

He had a sprinkle of 2 other games where he score over 10 points.

Other then that hes been a HUGE liability defensively, has been our worst offensive player and in general makes horrible decisions and also turns the ball over countless times when he actually plays.

Im done with him man. Doc mentioned sitting nate a couple times this year, now hes forced to play him due to the injuries.

I dont want to see Nate in green after the deadline, we need a bigger and more consistent player.
Who are you trading him for?

What are you giving up?

Anything, Nate, right now is one of the worst players in the league, im pretty sure a 6'2 or 6'4 guard out of the D-League would be better then nate.

Nate sucks offensively, AND is the second shortest player in the league so he gets abused nightly defensively. Hes trash and does nothing other then hit 6 shots in a row 4 times a year.

Well you can't cut him without eating his salary, its not so easy to just "get rid of him".

I'll also add that in the D-League Avery Bradley puts up decent numbers, but in the NBA he was much worse than Nate.

Oh definitely, coaching Nate isn't easy.

One bad year does not make a D-league player better than him. I'd like Nate to wake up, but to call that harsh is an understatement. I won't say it's a slump either. Still, like Fafnir said, Avery Bradley has been little to no better, if not worse than Nate.

I am not asking for Avery Bradley to play. I think it is unfortunate that Nate has stunk up the joint this year after the Celtics rewarded him with a new contract. Honestly, his signing might be as bad, if not worse, than the signing of JO. They need this guy badly to do something right now, yet Doc cannot even keep him in the game for decent minutes because he is playing so poorly.

It is so clear now why the Knicks sat Nate for so many games. I wish the celts had Eddie house back.

I agree. I wish he could be with us again, by replacing Nate

He hasn't had a great year but I'm not really unhappy having him as our backup.  I prefer him to House.  I wonder where Nate's defense intensity has gone between last year and this year, though.  Not even in the same stratosphere.

He's just too selfish for this team.  I dont know what his deal is, hopefully he turns it around once Delonte gets back.
do it

Eddie House hasn't played any better than Nate, he's shot better but he's not asked to do what we ask of Nate.

We needed more than a catch and shoot guy for a backup point.

Yeah I seem to be getting on the hate Nate train.. I really tried and tried to avoid it but he has been playing just awful this year.. Maybe he will be a little better when Delonte comes back? I hope so. The only thing was we got him so he can be a ball handler and also create his own shot he did in New york at least..

I'm not even sure that he is truly selfish.  His IQ isn't great and making shots is what Nate does best.  If he could see the court better, he would seem less selfish.

He tries to make the right play, he just doesn't know what the right play is a lot of times.

We saw Nate Robinson win us at least one playoff game a year ago, right? Pretty sure I'm not making this up - I generally own have 1 or 2 High Lifes during the game.

The answers easy: Keep playing him consistent minutes until the playoffs, if his overall play - really just his shooting - hasn't improved by then you either don't play him or limit his minutes.

At this point, you might get someone who could slightly outplay him at this particular moment - but no ones going to approach what Nate can provide if he returns to form. Think, Mark Bellhorn in the 04' playoffs.
