The only problem I have with playing Delonte at the 2 is that that would mean Nate at the 1. That gives us a 5'9" PG a 6'3" SG, 6'6" Daniels at the SF, and an undersized Baby at the 4. We would be small across the board. I would rather see Delonte play the 1.
True, but I'd really only be willing to sacrifice our depth at the 4/5 spot if it meant that we also got a big 3, who could hypothetically play some 4 like Posey did for us in 2008.
I know that KG, BBD, Perk, Shaq, JO, and Erden seem like a lot of big men, but Perk is coming off knee surgery, Shaq is 38, and JO is, well, JO.
So we're a couple strokes of bad luck away from Erden being either the backup center or the only center on this team.
Now if we could get Shane Battier, I'd think about that. He could be like Posey, and in a pinch, play some 4.
Lee doesn't do that for us.
