The Folsom Prison Blue Therapists select:  Nicolas Batum

Not the biggest name, but the Therapists need role players who can defend and play efficiently.  Also, Denver apparently covets him in a Carmelo trade, but Portland absolutely refuses to give him up.
Nicolas Batum is an excellent pick ... his career would be helped hugely by playing in LA in the Triangle offense alongside a player like Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol.

Give him a year there and he'd make major improvements. Lovely pickup.

This player is not liked, kind of duplicates what I already have. But he is the best player available by far.

CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon

FTG trades:  Steph Curry and 3.1

DEN trades: Carmelo Anthony and 6.17

That is a surprising trade. Very nice move for Sacramento.

A Melo + Iggy combo on the wings will be very difficult to play against.

Add a quality big man to the mix and a good supporting cast and you'll have a contender on your hands.

Wait...  Lebron and Wade are going to let a PG run their offense?   ???

Please note that I didn't say anything about half-court sets.

Also, please refer back to Coach Ron Swanson's Pyramid of Greatness.

Smith is a talent.

So, the new look Jazz feature Jameer, JR, J-Rich, Z-Bo, and Noah?

I think I just heard Jerry Sloan's brain explode.

Haha well said!

Yeah I was trying to make a team that could both compete now and get better for the next 5 years.

I'm sorry, Durant has been franchise tagged by Utah, along with Michael Vick...

P.S. Redz I'd like an explanation on this 2nd round swap along with your pick. Thanks in advance.

I don't know if Redz will be around to make his pick (he sent me a list, which has two names crossed it now), but I think his reasoning was that he didn't see a lot of difference in two slots in either round, and liked the value of moving up around 26 spots in the later round.

Plus, it's part of our mod conspiracy to bring down The Wiggle.

Yeh, that's pretty much it.  Roy came to me with an offer, and I was pretty indifferent with the 26th or the 28th so I went with it.  Seemed a decent value for 2 spots, when I had no set plan for the 26th.

As for Crawford, I like him at the 2.  I had Grant Hill higher on my list, but Crawford will do.

In full disclosure, I haven't done a whole lot of work on this.  ;) (surprise, surprise)...

gotta get the kids to bed

Wait, the Lakers traded up for Chauncey Billups and moved up in the 2nd round? Nice trick that.

Is Miami on the clock?

lol, wait is that what I did?   :-[

I had assumed I'd moved up with the 2nd rounder, but I guess that makes no sense now that I think of it.

As I said, I haven't been paying much attention.  How the heck did I miss that?

Ughhh...so, yeh WW, I don't have a good explanation for that.

I like your second rounder quite a bit better than your first rounder.  When looked at in combination, Kidd/Kaman isn't a bad take away from the last pick in each round.
