Solid.  I looked at Battier last round, but liked Batum a bit better.  However, Battier is a guy who knows his role, which is playing good defense and hitting outside shots.

Thanks Roy.  We think we have enough offense on this team and Shane brings great perimeter defense plus more outside shooting.  Plus we think he was one of the better overall players available and could still listen to trades for him since this team is really building for the future.

Offensively, yes.

Defensively, Shawn Marion takes the best offensive player on the wing.

Oh wow, Marion would have been fantastic in that role.

Batum is the better long term pick but I think Marion would have given you more in the short term.
