The Indiana Pacers select Shawn Marion.

The other guy I was looking at in lieu of Batum.  Nice one.
Oh wow, Marion would have been fantastic in that role.

Batum is the better long term pick but I think Marion would have given you more in the short term.
That's exactly what I told him  ;).

I initially agreed, until I looked at just how horrific Marion's jump shooting and 3PT numbers were (and have been the last few years).  He's almost strictly an inside player now, which doesn't work so well if you have him as your SF.
Pffft, like Kobe/Billups/Gasol will let your SF get more than a few shots a game  ;).

Well, I see Marion and Battier are now off the boards. Both were guys I was trying to move up from 3.13 to get.

Back to the drawing board.
I thought you should have made Marion a priority as a PF given the success he and Nash have had together in the past.

Put those two guys back together and in Phoenix's high paced offense and I think Marion still puts up 16ppg 9-10rpg with quality defense while playing very efficient offense. He would have been a massive difference maker to get with a late 2nd round or 3rd round pick.

In this specific situation, I think Marion would be one of the best potential "value picks" in the draft.

I had similar thoughts as Roy. Strictly speaking in terms of SF, I rated Marion below Batum and Battier.

As a PF, he could indeed flourish again alongside Nash. If he were available at 3.13, I probably would have taken him, for the roster flexibility he would have provided.

Haha.  All part of the plan.  Outside of my top three, I want guys who will shut up and play.

Nick - like you mentioned - Hedo will do fine for my roster, since we do in fact have a very good PG that can shoot the ball.

It will be interesting to see how these rosters pan out. Hopefully, Riah32 can run these in 2K10 or 11.
Baron Davis is not a good shooter, the problem with him and Hedo is that they both need the ball to be effective.

No, Baron is not a great shooter. But he is a top 10 PG. He will do fine as our PG with this roster, in this setting. Him and Hedo will co-exist and make the Clips better.

Like I stated earlier - I suppose that the only way to settle our opinions here is to have Riah32 run these rosters in 2K10 or 11.

Using a video game sim isn't going to decide much of anything honestly. The results for last year were pretty wacky from what I recall.

I'm not a fan of his overall game, but he's solid versatile pick at this point in the draft.

After considering a number of alternatives, the Sixers will go with, in our opinion, the best wing remaining in Marvin Williams

EDIT:  Should say the best young wing as there's at least one wing who's clearly better.

I could be wrong, but I think someone did it for the CB Draft and it accurately rated the top 2 teams.

So is there another way to decide against our particular biases against a player?

I don't remember that.  I do remember the Pick Two draft from last year, which ended with some truly bizarre results (both for the regular season and playoffs).

Pending new ownership for Golden State, the Commissioner's Office selects: Darren Collison.

That's because it has the similar belief in players before the season that many of us have.

At this point in the season, we have seen the player while the game is still stuck heavily on offseason beliefs.

The Memphis Grizzlies hate the commissioner's office.
