Is anyone else getting frustrated by Nate?

I heard that Doc does not want Nate to drive to the hoop because of his size and that will lead to blocked shots. I've been trying to find the video online but it's not easy. I remember it being said during a game where they were talking about his cold streak.

If he did tell Nate that then that would be a mistake cause it will make him nervous on the floor. Nate wants to play so he'd listen to the coach but why would Doc limit his game?? It's not easy to be strictly an outside shooter and keep up with consistency.

Let Nate be Nate... if there is a lane open to hoop he should drive to the hoop... most likely will get a foul.

If this is true it is terrible coaching.

Nate can actually get to the rim and I have been throwing fits seeing him completely abandod it and chuck stupid 3's almost exclusively.

I actually think he has a nice floater and decent finishing skills for a guy his size.

I mean he didnt just average 17 ppg as a knick shooting 40 foot shots. He has some skills as a scorer.

It can't be true (even for Doc) to tell a guy NOT to take it to the hoop.

Nate has been handling the ball less the last few weeks. He has been given great passes and has had wide open looks and he still cannot hit anything. Any minute the guy spends on the court right now is a liability to this team.

Most likely there is more to it than that or he meant something else cause Doc is a great coach but something is up cause he went to the basket before with NY and us last season and all of a sudden this season he's taking 3's only (or so it seems). I don't care if you are Miller or Allen you can't rely 100% on 3's for your offense.
What is hurting Nate now is that he must be thinking about his slump and is nervous or anxious on the offensive side of the ball. As an (obvious) fan of Nate that is frustrating because he is capable of being so great off the bench and could easily be the sixth man of the year if the good shots went in and he changed the bad ones.
Stop thinking Nate and just play.

Nate's two most efficient shots are his 3-PT shot and his open 18-footer off of screens.

His shot selection on the 3 has been poor. He's been taking other open looks but he's just been missing them.

He also has a great floater that he hasn't looked to very much because when he drives, instead of looking to shoot the floater he looks to pass.

Unfortunately, he is a below average passer for a PG.

I've never been a Robinson supporter. I was surprised when Danny re-signed him. He has an awful shot selection. He's very limited on defense due to his size. He cannot run the offense. Ask yourself this: "Is he even any better than Earl Boykins?"

He shoots .34 from three and .41 from the field. Those are hardly the numbers you want from a guy with the "instant offense" tagline.

When Delonte comes back, I would be content with him at the point and Wafer playing shooting guard. Any way you can minimize Nate's minutes will make this team better, in my opinion.

I understand there will be some people who are fans of Robinson, or who will defend him, or will say he is just in a slump. That's fine. But I don't see how Robinson is a plus out there on the court.

Nate's defense is underrated. His ball pressure can be game changing. Sure he struggles against big physical guards but so does Rondo.

Earl Boykins couldnt guard me.

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one that's been noticing this. Nate is a SG who's trapped in a flat chested WNBA player's body unfortunately.

I do recall stretches -- significant one's -- when Messrs. Eddie House and Ray Allen were slumping. 

Nate's been awful.  But, he's also been in a position that's out of his comfort zone and hasn't been able to adjust.  Before giving up on a guy who has the skills to change a game (and we only need 1 such effort out of him per playoff series to make his presence well worth it), I want to see him playing alongside Delonte with DWest at the point.

Yup...but then again I never liked the guy so I probably will get frustrated with him faster than the ordinary guy.

Still, I hear he can win us at least one whole playoff game so he must be worth what we paid him.

Not a bad idea. I think the 2nd unit would run better if a non-scorer handled the ball. It's not easy to back up a pass first PG like Rondo and for a scorer it can be hard cause I don't imagine there being many plays in the book for a PG since... well Rondo is the star PG and he doesn't take a shot unless he absolutely has to.

Not sure. Patrick Mills was able to do whatever he wanted last night. Nate might as well have been waiting in line for a hotdog and a beer. He was horrible.

Limiting Nate's offense to jump shoots would be about the dumbest thing a coach could do - when he provided an offensive spark during last season's playoffs, it was because he was allowed to go wide open and some of his biggest plays were drives to the basket, which of course helped him because a) he had more room to shoot against a defense respecting his drive and 2) he got so jacked up off the big plays that it sparked his hot streak from outside as well.

what drives ne crazy is his shot selection. It is terrible!!  he needs to be smarter with the ball and get closer to the basket and make smarter moves.

come on fellas...nate is very unpredictable...but ya gotta love the dude when he comes out there and burn he floor up...i remember him comin off the bench and his first shot was a 3pt all net...when he is on he cant be stopped
