I just feel like over the past he's been driving me nuts. He's taking tons of shots and missing the most of them. Not to mention he never gets to the line. Don't get me wrong, I love the guys energy he brings to this team, he's definitely great for the chemistry. But lately I feel like he's been a bit of an eyesore to watch. Anyone else seeing this?

Yes, yours is a good point.

For me lately, I have felt uncomfortable with him out there, though I love him too.

It seems like he doesn't have a plan, just wants to play hero ball. He seems nervous, which is understandable given how he really has to compete for minutes now.

I hope that he settles down and gets back into his groove.

Another random thing I've noticed... Does anyone remember the last time he's dunked the ball? This is the guy who's won the dunk contest 3 times (I think?). Did he lose his hops?

As soon as he was traded to the Celtics I thought we'd be seeing tons of lobs to him from Rondo

Loved Bill Walton's sarcastic "nice shot selection" comment on the Comcast telecast when Nate just took it over half court, up to the 3 point line and launched a quick 3 all within 3 seconds.

Nate has only dunked in a game 2 or 3 times in his career.  Dunking in a contest is a lot easier since you aren't running around and out of energy.  But when you're running up and down the court over and over again you don't waste your energy on getting maximum lift unless you have to.

There are 10 dunks alone in that video I just posted all from games, he's definitely done it more than that too.

Ive been wondering this same thing...Its like his explosiveness to the rim disappeared when he put on the Celtics. Maybe we have heavier uniforms than the Knicks?

What's frustrating is that they're not running the offense through Marquis like Doc said they were going to do when he and Nate are on the floor.

Dunking is not that hard if you can do it.  It doesn't take much energy in fact, its the opposite it gets you going.   Why peeps do not do as much in games is the risk of injury factor or missing it in traffice.  Nate can't palm it I would at his size and that makes it a lot harder to pull off.  But if you can jump its not that tiring, Greenpride32.

Nate should be treated as the modern day ML Carr. Have him wave a towel and dance on the bench when the starters score. Otherwise leave him on the bench. Robinson is not a smart basketball player which is one of the reasons why the Knicks didn't mind seeing him leave.

Obviously Doc is getting frustrated with him, as he did not play in the second half last night except at the end of the game when Portland was fouling intentionally. Outside of a few games this year, Nate has been horrible. When Delonte comes back, my hope is we see Nate only in blowouts through the rest of the season and playoffs. And then, hopefully, Danny can unload him in the offseason. He is a total bust. Not only playing bad basketball, but making horrible decisions on the court almost every time he plays.

I heard that Doc does not want Nate to drive to the hoop because of his size and that will lead to blocked shots. I've been trying to find the video online but it's not easy. I remember it being said during a game where they were talking about his cold streak.

If he did tell Nate that then that would be a mistake cause it will make him nervous on the floor. Nate wants to play so he'd listen to the coach but why would Doc limit his game?? It's not easy to be strictly an outside shooter and keep up with consistency.

Let Nate be Nate... if there is a lane open to hoop he should drive to the hoop... most likely will get a foul.

Nate this season: 41 percent shooting overall and 35 percent from behind the arc. And this is a guy who is supposed to give you quick points off the bench?

I would have thought it was worse to tell you the truth.

I have been saying this all year. Eventually this guys going to get hot and contribute. I like his ball pressure.

That being said Delonte will be a much better option when he returns. Im just not ruling Nate out this year. He is going through what probably is his coldest streak of his career.

If this is true it is terrible coaching.

Nate can actually get to the rim and I have been throwing fits seeing him completely abandod it and chuck stupid 3's almost exclusively.

I actually think he has a nice floater and decent finishing skills for a guy his size.

I mean he didnt just average 17 ppg as a knick shooting 40 foot shots. He has some skills as a scorer.

I've never been a Robinson supporter. I was surprised when Danny re-signed him. He has an awful shot selection. He's very limited on defense due to his size. He cannot run the offense. Ask yourself this: "Is he even any better than Earl Boykins?"

He shoots .34 from three and .41 from the field. Those are hardly the numbers you want from a guy with the "instant offense" tagline.

When Delonte comes back, I would be content with him at the point and Wafer playing shooting guard. Any way you can minimize Nate's minutes will make this team better, in my opinion.

I understand there will be some people who are fans of Robinson, or who will defend him, or will say he is just in a slump. That's fine. But I don't see how Robinson is a plus out there on the court.
