Shot blocking bigs always give the Celtics problems. Baby takes few more outside shots. Rondo won't be as aggressive. All afraid to get they **** packed. They make the Celtics one dimensional.
they definitely relied on way too many jumpers in the second half.  when the jumpers aren't falling, there's even more reason to go to the basket or feed the post.  Should have had KG down low for a good part of the game.

The Celtics got a big lead, let the Wizards back and couldn't get their game on track again. At the end, a lucky three did the Celtics in. There was just no energy out there today. And yes, it was a great look for PP but it shouldn't have come to that situation (last shot to win) in the first place. Chalk this up to being tired for the second game of a back to back or just simply to underestimating the opponent. Well, i guess you can't keep up the same intensity for all 82 games, specially with an aging core like the C's. They're already probably looking ahead at the tough orlando-miami-la stretch, and as a result fell into this "trap" game. Nevertheless, I expect them to come back stronger on 2 days rest and totally blow the Cavs out next game. Goodnight guys! Tough loss but it's not the end of the world.

I knew it was over after Ray missed an open dunk...Or when the ref swallowed his whistle on that Pierce shot with Blatche leaning all on him. Oh well guys back to the tressle board..We will be fine. We have KP and Delonte back here soon and hopefully both O'neals are healthy too.

Just a bitterly disappointing loss :'( Had all the hallmarks- missed open shots, lucky shots for the other team, occasional questionable referee call etc.

Let's not have this one come back to bite us by going on another winning streak.

Moving on!

SEASON OVER.......... NO WAY WE COME BACK FROM THIS.... HERE COMES LAST YEAR ALL OVER AGAIN.... WOW...

Talk about overreacting, mr. Apologist. I have not seen one post here says that. Do you think they  played well and lost to a good team? I love the guys here who think they mak the rule that no one can ever criticize the celts

u know what makes me laugh.... we win games... and the comments drop by 3/4.. we lose and everybody jumps to the blog.. makes me laugh

very true.  when the first half ended i believe there was only 4 pages of comments on the game thread.

it's like watching a bunch of depressed people run to a cult meeting to drink the kool-aid when things start progressively going bad for the C's

Fortunately we won't face them in the EC finals.

It's ok to vent guys, but don't worry. We will be back. This was a sandwich game. Back to backs are hard, but we will be back man. A lucky 3 beat us.

I just checked in to vent on one thing...KG and Baby HAVE to start contributing more on the boards.  Semih has double digits in rebounding and they have 10 between them.  Heck, Paul grabbed 8 and he was limited due to foul trouble.

Rebound...Rebound...Rebound!

  • Rondo = Good
Classic case of the Celtics thinking, "Eh, we're tired, we just blew out a good team, we don't have to try tonight" vs. a team thinking, "Hey, we're young and we haven't won very much and we'd really like to beat this really good team coming into our arena tonight!"

Plus, second night of a back to back.

It doesn't bother me much because this year it hasn't happened that often.  As long as the C's don't make a habit of it - like they did last year - it's okay if this happens now and then.  A veteran team needs a wake-up loss now and then.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.
