Is this real life? I'm not even mad, just bewildered. It literally didn't make sense the way that game played out. I can't imagine more 50/50 plays going the wrong way or freak accidents happening....

what a weird loss.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Baby is the only Celtic who's worried me as of late. Almost ALL of his jumpers have been flat the last week and a half. He looked absolutely winded today. He looks out of gas almost all of the time now.
True Celtic = Leon Powe

Bring back the show!!!!

That's why we can never take a single game that seriously. Over the course of the season, there will be games where we get the 50/50 plays and games where the other team does, as well as games when they are split.

He had 15 points and 7 rebounds off the bench against Utah, and leads the NBA in taking charges (after everybody complaining about him starting) ... I just don't get all the criticism of Glen Davis. He's one of the only guys who hustles all the time he's on the floor, yet he "looks out of gas all the time"?!? Sorry, but I don't see that at all. What I see is that he's CB's resident favorite whipping post, and it's getting a bit carried away.

Completely stopped moving the ball in the third quarter ... and some horrible calls. Six minutes to go in the third and the C's only scored 20 more points? Ouch ... can't wait to see the last quarter! :P

I just checked the box score ... we scored 27 points in the entire second half?!? Maybe I should change the channel now before I get too disgusted ... doesn't sound like an 11-point quarter holds too much worth watching. :P

Well, we haven't had one of these complete "let-down" games in a loooooooong time ... I'm glad we got it out of our system before the road trip. You're going to have one or two of these every year ... just be thankful it's not against the Heat, Spurs, or Lakers, or that it wasn't a playoff game.

And the C's only lost by two playing like this?!? The Wizards should have blown them out! The fact that we played this horrible and only lost by two, is one positive to take away from this game, (and probably the only one). :P

The fact that we only scored 27 points in the second half and yet still had a good chance to win this, is to me, (believe it or not), encouraging.

Last year, this would have ended in a blowout by the opponent, (which it should have), but even with a horrendous offensive performance, and being outnumbered at the stripe, (their 26 free-throws to our 18), we still hung in there defensively, (40 RBs, 20 ASTs, 7 STLs, 3 BLKs), and most likely would have won, if not for one of the most blatant no-calls, (Pierce getting fouled), I've seen all year.

Summation: It's absolutely amazing that we can play one of the worst halves in Celtic history, and yet still almost pull out the win. Hence, this is easily worth forgetting about ... flush it and move on.

Go Celtics!

I thought Rondo handlded the last possession very poorly... he stole the ball and could have run to the other basket but instead he chose to stop and give it to Pierce, giving the Wizards the chance to set their D and Pierce to brick another buzzer beater.

Anyway we got ocld in the 4th (tired?) and missed a lot of open shots so we deserved to lose and them to win.

Going to have nights like this occasionally, we did play like doo doo the second half and shot poorly and we were still in the game.  I thought the officiating was poor and very much against us.   However, the true culprit was our woeful shooting in the fourth quarter.  We played to the level of our opponent and we paid the price for it.
