The great thing about this draft is that it's done all for fun, to see how CelticsBlog GMs could build various franchises in their own images.  I've personally disagreed with some of the keeper choices, but I think it's great that not everybody is approaching this from the same angle.  If there were no surprises, this would be pretty boring, right?

Roy is torn between his man love for ZBo  being insulted that I wouldn't keep him and the idea that He might get to pair him with his Gasol.

Baron Davis may have the edge in experience now, but Gordon and Griffin will gain that experience quickly - I'd expect them to be playoff perennials after this year.

Gordon isn't as good a passer as Davis, but he's a solid passer for a two-guard.  Also, I think you could take a serviceable pass-first point guard with an outside shot and make him look really good tossing it to Blake at the rim or Gordon on the perimeter.

And nah, I have nothing against Baron Davis.  I do question his motor, but he's a solid player and it's been fun to watch him regain his spark playing with Griffin this year.

He's just not as good as Eric Gordon, that's all.  Still, good luck with the draft, and TP for the discussion.

If anybody wants to take over the wolves hit me up.  I just had somebody back out on a major deal and knowing my past, I think its a good chance I might get suspended if I keep up with this draft.

TP to you as well!

No doubt that Eric will make some team here in the Pick Two a fine SG, and yes he will certainly help the Clips this year as well, in real life.

But in thinking about the parameters of this game, I just thought that I wanted to go with vets, to put forth the best opportunity in a playoff scenario.

In comparison to real life? For example - OKC had several players with gaudy numbers last year, but when they played LA  in the playoffs, those numbers were drastically reduced by LA's defense.

Prime example - Ron Artest basically shut down Durant. With this in mind, I pictured a playoff scenario here in Pick Two, and just didn't see Eric Gordon able to maintain those numbers vs say - Kobe Bryant - in a 7 game series.

I just felt more comfortable - for Pick Two purposes - in having Baron out there as PG. Once I round out the team, I will make up for Eric's departure, and get a good SG.

A word to the wise: this is a stress free draft.  If members cause drama here, they will not be invited to participate in the CB Draft., where things are a bit more competitive.  Basically, people need to chill out.

Yeah, this is just supposed to be a fun activity.  If you can't relax, and keep your overcompetitive side under control, go find a poker hand somewhere.

This is a completely made up game where everything is purely hypothetical.  No need to get worked up over something that really means absolutely nothing.

TP, just disappointing to invest time and thought into something and have it yanked out from under you is all.

Welcome to life.  How many times do you think Danny has had deals done, and then it fell apart at the last second?  Think of it as a learning experience to be the shark yourself, and do not stop working on other deals until the deal is official.

The difference here is that no one is actually hurt when a deal falls through.  Because it is a made up game that means absolutely nothing.  So just have fun, and don't take things personally.

You know he has not chance getting out of the 1st round.

Fitting though, a player no one really likes on a team everyone on here hates.   ;)

Make it happen.

Your right I guess business is business and leveraging other offers against eachother is part of the game. Guess I will like my wounds and walk away.

Kevin Love is officially back on the trade market.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
This is why I caution all of you to not get too invested in these handshake deals. They're not final until the end of the 1st, and you will be surprised at how much the value of a player or pick can move in that time.

If two people make a trade before the draft, it is because they think they're getting something over on the other. In some regard, one of them is right.

Until you know the identity, or at least the probable identity of who you're trading/trading for, I urge you not to take it too seriously.

And for God's sakes can we at least start the draft before we have a blowup?
