Miami Heat lose 3rd in a row/ Update: Karma Strikes Again 4th loss in a row

Well, I'm glad we're not the only team getting hit by injuries.  Granted, we're older, and we should expect some.  But the Spurs have lucked out, the Heat did up to this point, and we started getting hit with non-age related injuries ourselves (Perk, Rondo, and West). 

So I am happy about it.  Not that I want anyone to get hurt.  But if we have to lose some games because we can't be at full speed, I wish the same on everyone else.

If Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller were fully healthy, I would expect Miami to win at 55-60 win pace without LeBron James.

Without those two guys contributing, they are more like a 45 win team.

I wouldn't go quite so far as 60 wins.  The Heat's abysmal (in fact almost non-existent) PG play makes their offense much easier to defend without LeBron, while their defense also takes a hit.  I'd put them at 50 wins.

WHen was the last time Miller was fully fit? And when he was was he even that good? He was on a grossly terrible washington team last year and he wasn't even good for them

Chris Bosh went out in the 4th quarter with a sprained ankle. He sprained it when he was going for a loose ball and Asik dove for the ball at the same time.   His quotes after the game were as funny as they were sad.

"C'mon, that is how guys get hurt, that is how serious injuries happen," Bosh said.

"You've got to watch people's legs. I know guys want to hustle and everything but we all want to play and provide for our families and have a job."

"We all want to be healthy and that is very important," said Bosh, who had 11 of his 17 points in the third quarter before the injury. "If it is by somebody's leg, don't dive for the ball, it's too close."

By his reasoning, players shouldn't take a charge because it could hurt.  Players shouldn't jump for rebounds because there are too many guys around and you could come down on someone's ankle.   He's like the anti-KG.

How are these two sentences related? Of the people who consider them the best team, did any of them think that the Heat could win games without Lebron?

The Heat's performance without Lebron shows us nothing. Everyone already knew they were too thin to win without Lebron. These games give us no reason to feel confident that they aren't a great team when healthy. Since Lebron's injury isn't serious, they will be healthy shortly.

These kinds of reactions feel a bit desperate to me. Why not accept that the Heat are a really good team and will be a challenge to face in the playoffs unless they are missing a key player?

Miami goes down again tonight

Poor Bronny and Dwade didn't have their precious Bosh. How could they possible beat a juggernaut like the Atlanta Hawks without one of their big 3?

Thats 3 loses in a row when one of the Big 3 is out

Atlanta was playing Josh Smith at center because Marvin Williams was out and Horford sprained his ankle in the 3rd and didn't come back, and the heat still couldn't beat the Hawks.

C's now 4 up in the loss column over Miami

Was looking at the box scores for the heat-hawks game. Lebron and Wade accounted for 50 of the team's 77 shot attempts. I wonder how long they could carry on with this. Another amazing stat is Joel Anthony got 16 boards, 8 offensive, and yet had zero shot attempts. Didn't watch the game but it's hard to imagine someone getting 8 offensive boards without even attempting to shoot once? Someone other than the three stars should step up for Miami. The loss of Haslem has proven to be a very big blow for them. Just goes to show how important role players are in a team.
