Trade 1:
PHX Trades: Steve Nash, Jared Dudley, Robin Lopez
NYK Trades: Raymond Felton, Azuibuke, W Chandler
Why NY: They get Steve Nash, who will upgrade their offense immediately and also sell pretty high on Chandler and Felton so they can acquire one of the best tweener 6th men in the league (Jared Dudley), and a solid athletic young big man to put next to Amar'e.
Why PHX: They trade Steve Nash for a young, up and coming 2nd tier caliber starting PG, a solid, tough, young rotation level swingman (who is an expiring contract), and a possible franchise cornerstone in Wilson Chandler. They also get out from under Jared Dudley's 5 yr contract extension, although it costs them Robin Lopez. Lopez is the bitter pill to swallow here, but getting out from under Dudley's contract should be PHX's number 1 priority.
Trade 2:
NYK Trades: Gallinari, Eddy Curry, Anthony Randolph, Roger Mason
Den Trades: Carmelo Anthony, Renaldo Balkman
Why for NY: For the peace of mind of knowing they have Melo for the next 5 years, and the pairing of Melo/Nash for a possible extended playoff run this year, and maybe next.
Why for Denver: Because they are not able to convince a team to give up equal assets to Gallo and Randolph for a rental of Melo, and Melo will only sign with NY.
Lineup:
Nash/Douglas
Fields/Walker/Rautins
Melo/Dudley/Balkman/Shawne Williams
Stoudemire/Balkman/Shawne Williams
R Lopez/Mozgov
They're only going to have a 12 man roster, so they'll need to sign and or trade for a pg and sg immediately. But, this is a contending team.
