Sanchez did his job in that game. Got some help.  Manning lost to the road team with the young QB. And it's not like Manning did anything spectacular in that game.
Well at least you're acknowledging that players other than QBs impact the game!

Manning completed 69% of his passes, had a TD, and had 225 yards in 25 attempts. That's a good to very good game.

Sanchez completed 58% of his passes, had an INT, and only had 189 yards in 31 attempts.

He didn't outplay Manning. Once again I'll add that he doesn't have to play the Jets defense either. He faces a very different challenge than the opposing QBs.
How'd the Jets defense look last night?

I'm going with Steelers as well, Green Bay could barely squeak by Chicago with their starting qb out nearly the whole game.

Pretty good, they were shaky in the first half giving up 17 points but they completely shut down Pittsburgh in the second half. They even scored two points.

If your defense only gives up 17 points in a playoff game they're giving you a very good chance to win it if your offense brings anything.

BTW I hate the macho NFL player garbage. Everyone is trashing Cutler because they didn't see his injury. If a guy can't plant and explode with his leg he can't throw accurately.

If he'd tried to play on they'd be killing him for not being good enough to take advantage of an amazing defensive performance and good field position. Their attacks are based entirely on the Rick Reilly type perception of Cutler.

Loved these quotes from Brian Urlacher:
Quote
There were multiple players around the league…

"I don’t give a (expletive) about players around the league sitting, watching our game at home. What players? Did they put their names on it?"

Kerry Rhodes was one of them…

"Who’s he?"

Maurice Jones Drew?

"Where’s he at now, home? I’m just saying. It’s easy to talk (expletive) about someone when you’re sitting on your couch watching their game. That’s what I’m saying. I don’t understand it, I don’t get it. Let them sprain their MCL or do whatever he did to his knee and then get back in the game. See if they can do that. See how well they run the ball, or whoever the other guy is, see how well he does at whatever position he plays. I don’t agree with it. It’s easy to write that stuff on the internet."

That will happen when Big Ben only throws it 5 times in the second half.

The reports are saying Cutler has a torn MCL.

Also apparently his pain killing options are more limited due to his diabetes, so he couldn't recieve a shot and try it with a brace (which sounds pretty stupid to do anyways)

What a wuss.  He should have duck-taped that knee, shot-gunned a coupla Coors, and he'd be ready to go.
