Kobe KG is a great player, but as strange as it is to say, I don't think he maximized his potential. On an individual team level, he did about all he could do, but I think he could have won even more if his ego unselfishness didn't get in the way.

That would take about 5 1/2 - 6 years at his current production. It's doable, but I don't think he'll get there. He will pass MJ for sure, though.I just think he won't be willing to walk away.Quote from: Roy H. on January 05, 2011, 12:54:39 PMFourth best... behind Duncan, KG, and Shaq?Yeah, best guard by a huge margin though. There is serious separation between those four and the rest.I think Dirk/Pierce/Nash would be the next three? I'm sure I'm missing someone. You really think KG is better than Kobe?

Oh yeah, well KG is FOURTH all-time in defensive rebounds (since 72-73 when they started keeping track)! That's way more impressive, right?

He's not too far from 3rd either.

Individual accolades are nice, but I'll take a team that can win games as a team any day of the week. How about 5 championships for team accolades? Lakers are fine.Haha. I like it.And I agree, say what you want about Kobe, but you have to respect the guys game. He is no longer on my most hated player list. In fact, he is a phenomenon to watch.

Kobe has 5 championships in total to KG's 1. I agree with the Duncan and Shaq comparison, though.Fourth best... behind Duncan, KG, and Shaq?
I agree with Kobe being 4th, and behind KG.
Quote from: Spilling Green Dye on January 05, 2011, 01:09:48 PMI agree with Kobe being 4th, and behind KG. I disagree. I have:1. Shaq2. Kobe3. Duncan4. KGI'm sure you're not knocking Kobe by putting him at #4, as I'm not knocking Garnett by putting him at #4. I also think that 1-2 more rings for Kobe would move him up to #1 for me.
