This quote is from the Marc Spears' article that is discussed in another topic (but on another theme of the article) :

Perkins, 26, is from Beaumont, Texas, and figures to draw interest from the Rockets and Thunder. Still, he’d prefer to return to the Celtics, whose payroll for next season is already projected to be about $74 million, provided Allen and Shaq don’t opt out of their contracts.
“I will show that I’m back and there are no issues with my knee,” said Perkins, who is making $4.4 million this season. “I will have a bright future as far as free agency. We will see how this season turns out and how it goes from there.
What do you think? Obviously it means nothing to overreact to this kind of quote and it's the classic "I love my team but business is business" line but, still, do you think Perk will accept a reduced contract in terms of year or dollars with the C's, because he wants to win here, or will he take a bigger role and contract in another interesting franchise like OKC or Houston?
I must admit that Shaq and JO's presences are making me less confident that he will re-sign, although both have hinted at a possible retirement next year.
Of course, a lot will depend of Perk's health and role with the team after his return in February.
