Ok, so I think most people agree that he shouldn't be increasing the range as much as he has been.  But why do you think he's been increasing it?  They're still worth only 2 points..  have defenses been forcing him farther out?  Does he just want to shoot more and so that's available to take?  Or has he made a conscious effort to not take 15 footers, and instead setup closer to 20-22 feet?   I really don't know, which is why I'm asking!

Team's are making a better effort to contest his 15-18 foot range shots, so he's being pushed out somewhat.

Though at times he's just drifting out that far on his own.

I think the problem with Glen's game at the moment is that when he makes his mid-range shots, he looks for that jumpshot more, instead of using those makes to open up his inside game.

Ideally, he should look for inside shots and take the mid-range shots when the defense gives him those looks.  Inside shots should always be the priority selection over mid-range shots, especially for a PF like Davis.

I think he is working on his range and I believe Doc is ok with it, because Glen has been taking and making those long range jumpers all season.  People are complaining about them now because he's starting to miss them (and because he is taking too many of them).  I mentioned this in one of the "Baby" threads just today about him increasing his range... or was it yesterday. :-\

Really, all he has to do is hold the spot until players return from injury and then he can go back to the role he excels in.

If BBD announces plans to spend the off-season working on extending his range to beyond the three-point line, what do you think Doc's reaction would be?

To BBD's credit tonight he did a good job not going out too far.  Maybe he took a couple longer range 2's but mostly he worked closer to the rim and when he took a couple fadaways they where around or in the paint.

That being said he got completely outclassed by Love on the boards.  Awful rebounding from him.  But solid offense.
