So...has Miami won any games against actual contenders this season?  The Hawks and the Magic don't count.
Who do you think are contenders?

Other than the Heat, the Celtics, Lakers, Spurs and Mavs are the safest choices now.

I believe the Heat are 0-4 against that group.

0-4 against celts and Mavs.

we are 2-1 against mavs and Heat.

Kind of early to be doing this I think. If they dont have close to a 500 record by the end of the season than this might mean something.

Right now I think beating any team about 500 or a playoff team is a quality win and worthy of getting some respect.

Miami Heat's win streak will end against the Dallas Mavericks.
Well I feel like a genius now LOL

watch the Heat go on to start dropping games left and right with the Lakers being next on Christmas  ;D

I must give you a Tommy Point for that one.

For Christmas? After thinking long and hard about it, I hope that LA and MIA have about 10 overtimes. Too bad there's no way for both of them to lose.

That was Grinchy of me. My bad.

MIA/LA will be an entertaining game, but I don't see LA losing that one. Here's hoping that LA takes care of business and both teams get some time with their loved ones.

It was MIA no surprise either.  Good teams can beat them even though they have improved.  Close game though but a loss is a loss.   Let's see how they fare on a West Coast Swing.  My bet is not so good against winning teams.

LeBum was 6 for 17 from the field.  Big game and he shoots .35% from the field and peeps still think he is greatest thing since sliced bread.  Dirk stunk it up too 8-21 for a .38% of course both of them had lots of official help to help their PPG with liberal FTAs, LeBron 7 and Dirk 10.  Both of them have long history of vanishing in big games and the post season.  NBA where the league will pad your stats if you can't shoot.

Well - we have the answer to the thread title, which should have ended with the Wizards...

Amazing the difference between Wade/LeQuit being given 13 ftas between them and their customary 18 - (it's winning and losing).

Sad, really.

And it was a textbook Jason Terry game - his bad shot selection will doom the Mavs in the playoffs. Without marion's hustle and rebounding, the Heat would have prevailed.

All right everyone, its time to start denying that the Heat look good.  They are on a 11-game win streak, Boston on a 12-game win streak.  Which streak ends first?

Next 3 games:

Miami plays: Washington, Dallas(home), Phoenix
Boston plays: Indy(home), Philly(home), Orlando

I think Boston has the tougher schedule of the three, only because Washington is terrible.  I could see Philly giving the Cs trouble.

Anyway, here's my prediction, and don't hate me for it: Boston's win streak ends before Miami's.  The reason is that the injuries have to catch up to Boston at some point.  Also, it will then make Boston the clear underdog, which is where I like to be ;)
based on just the injuries alone, I would have said the C's but needed to see the upcoming schedule.  I think Dallas will beat Miami.  Dallas needs to show they're a real title threat and beating Miami will give them that credibility.  Their win against the C's wasn't convincing enough.
First one to call it on Mavs beating the Heat.   8)

Who will have the longer win streak, the Patriots or Celtics?
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

I was reading the ESPN message boards and someone posted that Lebron passed the ball to Wade with 6 seconds left on the clock and walked off the court.  Wade then drained a 3 with, leaving less than a second on the clock.  Lebron leaving the court allowed the Mavs to easily inbound the ball.  Anyone see the game that can verify that?

I watched the whole game and the Mavs had James on lockdown most of the game.He didn't score a point till somewhere in the third quarter.Lebron was frustrated because everytime he did tried to bulldozer his way to the basket the Mavs put a ring around him on defense, similar to the Celtics when they play him tough.I think the Mavs have finally figured out what it takes to slow him down.It was a great game especially when i see Lebron not taking advantage of a team.Wade was having a hard time getting into any real rhythm. He ended up with a tech.Bosh actually played the better all around game out of the three.Mike Miller got a short stint in the 1st half but couldn't hit the side of a barn.He never got an opportunity in the second.I noticed E.House started out in the beginning of the season as their 6th man coming off the bench, lately he is lucky to see the floor in garbage time. Lebron and Wade start chucking up three's out of desperation when the game was starting to slip away. They hit one three and then it becomes like fools' gold to them.

Did you see Lebron walk off the court after he passed to Wade with 6 seconds left in the game?  See my previous post.  Did that happen?

Yes. LeBron's body language was terrible at the end. He inbounded the ball and immediately went towards the locker room.

I didn't want to comment on it until I knew for sure if it was true.  Wow, what a jerk and a terrible teammate!
