  • Rondo = Good
Dear Pierce,

See that guy Gallinari? You're supposed to be defending him.

Thanks,
RJ

This is not our night. The knicks are making circus shots and can't miss.

Doc doesn't know he has a healthy backup PG. Rest Rondo. We can't afford to lose him for long stretch when the games actually matter.

there you go doc..keep playing rondo push him big time in a dumb game...ya the knicks are just the same as a championship RIGHT......dumb old doc, no vision..oh ya doc this game is so important...screwed now, ham, foot and ankle....we'll play him tomorrow though...right....!!!

he rolled an ankle on someones foot.

I'd be with you if it was one of the other injuries flaring up, but should doc just not play rondo ever because he might step on someone?

That injury could have happened in the first 30 seconds of the game or the last minute, it wasen't a wear and tear injury for pete's sake....

you're missing the point - too many minutes + fatigue + playing USA ball this summer all add up to make Rondo more susceptible to injury - a rested body and fresh legs simply don't get caught up in "routine" injuries like that rolled ankle. i have a close friend who is a PHD is exercise physiology who has explained studies on injury vulnerability to me - fascinating stuff.

No, i get your theory, i just think you guys are so overprotective it's ridiculous. As far as i can tell, you guys would start the bench till around two months to go in the season.

Completely separately from that issue however, I agree with meadow that there is no way rondo should be in the game right now post ankle roll.

PRe injury was fine, the injury itself sucked but it was random, putting him back in = stupid on doc's part.

Yes, circus shots plus little defense by celts equals not good

I agree with you that he shouldn't be in right now, but i don't think he's playing on a shattered ankle. I think he'll be alright before then
