The dude does not play defense. He plays passing lanes, gets an off the ball block here and there but doesn't chase guys around screens and also does very little without the ball on offense. He was bragging right along with Lebron. But at least Lebron and Bosh put out a ton of effort.I don't see that from Wade. I see a lot of cool prancing around.

Agreed. Not sure Wade has that killer instinct.

It's not because Wade doesn't want to be aggressive, its because Wade and Lebron is the same exact player...

Lebron and Wade always need the ball in their hands to be effective...Even when Lebron is a SF and Wade being a SG, they pretty much play as if they are a score first type of pg...they handle the ball and create the offense

Have you noticed in their recent win streak he's led the team in rebounds (8.6 rpg - Bosh has 8.2), and 2nd in scoring and assists (23 ppg, 56.3% 4.8, to Lebron's 25 on 52.9%, 5.2).

He's played well in this recent stretch.

Dwayne Wade playing terrible is a big reason the Celtic's were able to get pretty sizeable leads on the Heat in the two games we've played.

I think he's an excellent defensive player when he's motivated. I haven't like his effort the past two years however. He's been lazy getting back in transition, and also is starting to resemble Ben Gordon as a magnet.

This is laughable...Wade single handedly won that finals.  They went down 2-0 and he completely willed them to that championship.  Say what you want to say about the calls or all the free throws he got, he still went to the hoop hard time and time again.

Taking 4 games in a row in the finals?  Averaging 35 ppg in the series?  What does killer instinct mean then?

Shaq sucked that year.  He was fat and lazy.  Anyone who tells you otherwise just wasnt paying attention.

The NBA's mission during the Finals seemed clear...make a new star! The calls he received were laughable and I don't know if it's killer instinct, as much as it was having the common sense to drive to the basket since the refs were calling everything in his favor.

How good would Corey Maggette be if he received similar favorable treatment? I mean he takes it strong to the hoop, gets to the line at a nice rate as is, and shoots 80% from the line. Would him having a "killer instinct" be confused with the way he was officiated?

OK, I will.

The ALLTIME FINALS RECORD for ft attempts by one player (and in just 6 games) was an embarrassment, joke, and travesty.

What team couldn't win a 1-pt game with a +24 ft margin?

Dwayne Wade's free throws aside, Shaq didn't "suck" that year.

He still shot 60% for the playoffs and averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds. Just because he didn't score a lot in the Finals doesn't mean he was "terrible". Dallas was still double teaming him even as Wade went off on him.

D-Wade was ultra aggressive in the Finals that year...he basically made the refs blow the whistle every time D-Wade went to the rim.
