Wow they beat the 76ers! lets throw them another parade!

NBA.com front page titles the article about tonights game as "More like it"

More like what? They have already proven that they can only beat pathetic non-teams that probably wouldnt do that well in a march madness bracket. Pretty sad that beating the 76ers by 8 points is something to speak of for them.

On a lighter note.. KG AND SHAQ ARE REBORN!!! lovin it!
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

  • It's all about the TEAM!
Miami beating the 76ers by only 9 almost seems like another loss. Miami was at home and only up 2 at the start of the 4th quarter.

A win is a win, the Celtics didn't exactly impress all that much either against Toronto. Time to stop obsessing about the Heat and just focus on the C's. (oh and cheer on whomever plays the Lakers)

The Celtics played like this for an entire half of a season last year and hopefully you'll still kept faith and watched us make it to the finals...

a smart person would have enough respect for the Heat to not talk trash until they're either eliminated from contention.

Yeah no matter what anyone says, in late Jan-the playoffs, the Celtics did not look like a viable contender. The Heat are going to make it, the C's are going t make it, we'll figure out who is better then.

They do that every single time they win after a loss.

The headline after the second loss to the Cs was the same idea.

Good on them, keep your accomplishments.

My thoughts exactly.

Who cares about the Heat? A win is a win, a win over the Sixers by 8 in November means nothing. Do you remember that we lost to Toronto and the Cavs?

First off our starting 5 DESTROYED toronro our bench is the reason it was as close a game as it was. Our big 3 was and has been much more humble than the Miami Thrice ever were. I dont wanna hear about last year because thats the past it's a new team. KG RA and PP didnt come out at the begining of this year and say stuff like "I'm gonna remember everyone who talked smack" "we're gonna win a lot of games" We're gonna be unstoppable." They said "we need to improve" "We can be better".

So forgive me if I razz the heat a little bit for being so over-the-top cocksure and now all of a sudden i'm supposed to be blown-away because they beat the 76ers?

Yea, we lost to CLE and TOR. Every team, even the lakers, magic, hornets, spurs all teams lose games to inferior opponents occasionally. The celtics have beaten some good teams already the heat have not. So dont give me all this "oh they will be better, you shouldnt say mean things" bullcrap. We have proven for now at least that we are the better team and i'll continue to be proud of that. Considering all the smack the heat talked before the start of the season I think they deserve any stones that get thrown thier way until they actually start winning some games...

All of a sudden no one cares about the heat?
That makes....no sense at all...They are one of the top 3-4 contenders in our conference. You should care about them.

One day, one game at a time.  If the Heat is in the playoffs and we have to face them at the end of the season, then I will worry about the Heat.  We lost to Cleveland and Toronto.  Should we be worried about them? I think not...just play the game you are in.  Home court advantage would be nice....

There is a difference between keeping tabs on them and posting a new thread every time they win a game or lose a game.

Well then by your rationale the first 15 games are the past and the Heat are on a one game win streak, lol.  Nice logic.

And you know what you're right, what was I thinking, the Heat talk so much trash, while the Celtics are widely regarded around the league as doing no such thing  ::)

the problem with that is, we weren't hyped up when the big 3 came or this year with Shaq signing that we would just walk on all the teams...

everyone expected us to just be a regular old team, whereas Heat are supposed to break 72 wins this year along with blowing out a lot of teams...

that didn't happen

The Big 3 received almost as much hype as Miami did.

  • Another undersized Celtic...
But our big three went 29-3 to start the season. What does it mean? Not much really. There's nothing wrong with snickering at their mediocre start, or at their lack of depth after injuries--they're like the New Jersey Devils, sinking all their money into Kovalchuk and not having enough cash to fill out their active roster. I understand people's resentment for the Heat because of LeBron's ridiculous pony show, and the whole "Rocky 4" fireworks spectacle they had in southbeach to introduce the "New Big 3". Well, Karma is a biznitch, and it can go the other way on us, too if we get too full of ourselves and bask in the misfortune of other teams, whether they deserve it or not.
