When I first heard about it, I was thinking that it was just another Celtic player being a D Bag.

But after hearing Kenny Smith and Greg Anthony explain it, they're right.  You're playing basketball...what's said between the two players is between them.

There is no crossing the line when you're talking trash...that's why it's called trash talk.  If it hurts your feelings, elbow him in the gut the next trip down the court.

KG can say whatever he wants on the court.  Charlie V should have punched KG in the mouth if he wanted to send a message.

Bringing it to the public looking for sympathy or trying to expose KG is not right.  What's said on the court stays on the court.

As to the topic, Hell no, KG shouldn't apologize.

What is going on Laker fan? Your team is rolling. Must be nice.

I find it funny how winning changes players public perception both good and bad. Kobe used to be the biggest villain in sports. Now he is beloved because he is winning again. Vice Versa for KG. People loved him when he was losing games. Now that he is considered a winner, its a different story. People loathe him now. Which leads me to belive the world is indeed ending in 2012. Earth is off axis right now. We need balance has Kobe been back to Eagle, Colorado yet.

Plus - Kobe talks as much trash as KG. Doesn't seem to bother anyone, either.

If KG sneezes, it's front page news.

Villanueva is a...slang for cat.

People talk a ton of stuff on the court, 50% worse than what KG (allegedly, probably) said.

Deal with it, you adult male.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

You guys really dont get it eh?
How many times do you hear these players saying it is a buisness. If it is a buisness then act professionally. You try going into work tommorow and acting like KG does on the court and see what happens.

That's pretty nonsensical. Do you go to work and act like an nba player (aside from a small amount of the trash talking that occurs)? Or maybe you act like a pro wrestler, because that's a business too? Please.

A small amount of trash talk. KG was voted the worst trash talker in the league. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie/post/Kevin-Garnett-voted-NBA-s-top-trash-talker?urn=nba-213362.

Every other word out of his mouth is either the F word or the N word. I love KG as much as anyone and I never said he should apologize to CV. I simply said he should apologize for profanity filled trash talk on the court. He is a role model weather he likes it or not and he represents the Celtics.

KG has admitted before that he cusses too much, but that's who he is. As much as he refrains from cussing, it's what regularly comes out of his mouth.

And whoever heard of trash talking that isn't tasteless? It's what it is - trash talking.

Wow this topic is still rolling huh. Wow estrogen levels nowadays is off the charts. ok sure, make KG apologize and then we all should go to mamby pamby land and make sure each individual fan who trash talks lebron with various (Delonte + Your Mom) posters all hit the podium as well. While we're at it , when the away team is on the road they often get boo'ed by opposing fans. Which hurts their self esteem so lets just run down this slippery slope and ban all negative hurtful wittle comments that aren't fair.  ::) goodness give me a break this whole this is silly.
#1 if CV was that hurt & offended he should've handled it right then & there instead of being a punk and then trying to be a keyboard Gangster once he gets home. #2 Again i'm sure he's heard much more hurtful things than that. That's part of being a professional athlete , ability to combat mental warfare and still perform. can't believe the league is still trying to squeeze a story out of this. Topic is STILL on NBA.Com.

I'm gonna bump it... I just saw an interesting quote from Bogut who, when describing his incident with KG, said that "KG has a history of altercations, not me."

He also said that KG only talks smack to the people who he knows won't do anything about it.  He used to talk smack to Bogut when he was a rookie but doesn't say anything to him anymore.

I had no idea how many internet tough guys we have on this board.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Good Point.  ;D Just wanted to get that last thought out before i'm finished. Still agree 100% with Doc. Fact that this story got this far is silly.

Ok I'm finished.

KG must have upped his hatred for Bogut from talking to elbowing, because he clearly sent one in Bogut's direction in the game with Milwaukee. Bogut returned the favor, but I'm sure KG never quits yapping, regardless of who you are. There are no players in the NBA to be scared of (atleast not on the court).

PS - sorry I bumped this thread.
