Its in bad tase and its classless. But please rejoice in your heroes even when their behavior is clueless. He still represents the Celtics and the league. He needs to shut his trap and play ball.

KG owes an apology to no one...

Let it go, guys.  It's basketball, and stuff gets said.  We don't need apologies for every time someone talks trash.

If anything, it might end up that CV embellished his comments and owes KG an apology...

KG shouldn't apologize for nothing.  I don't even care what he said, trash talking is supposed to be offensive, or it wouldn't be effective.

As for the use of 'cancer' as a metaphor for disease, this is another example where the impetus for politically correctness has trumped common sense.  I'm so tired of being told how to think, talk, and live my life.  Metaphors don't disparage anyone--they're metaphors!!!

CV is the one who needs to apologize for upsetting the sanctity of the game.  What is said on the court should stay on the court, and everybody who plays the game knows that.  CV is what KG said he was--a cancer to his team and the league.

Folly. Persist.

first of all, KG's not saying it to just any player he's saying it someone who looks he has cancer which is what is disturbing... with all due respect, it was over the line b/c of who he was talking to- someone who's been dealing with a disease his entire life and you cant just go out on the court and give that person a hard time about it

I think he already did in so many words. I think most of us agree that he didn't call him a cancer to the league and instead meant, 'cancer patient', but in his explanation he gave much respect to those who have had and have cancer at the end of it. Did KG go a little too far? Sure, but seriously, he is hardly the only person to go over the line with his trash talk. CV was just lame enough to go on Twitter with it all.

How do you know what a player meant or said when you did not hear it? People can't accept KG's version of things. KG does not need to apologize. People are way too sensitive. Esp. when nobody is bothering to back up what Charlie V; Twitter tattler said.

He never said he looked like a cancer patient. Charlie V was mistaken. He should apologize if anything. Apologize to the team's whose chemistry he has affected.

But from more then one person said he never said that. People obvuiously belive the first thing they hear as gospel and not look at both sides. Quite sad really. Give me a break trash talking is what it is. Can't handle it then you better get out because it is not going away

KG doesn’t need to apologize to anyone.  ::)

Numerous people heard KG say it and it wasn’t what Charlie accused.

“your a cancer to your team, everywhere you go you lose” is what Doc heard

Hard to argue with that.

Villanueva is trying to tarnish KG’s reputation and make him look like a jerk. Don’t cry on the internet, bend you knees and play defense, stop somebody, win a game…

If that is what KG said, he was completely over the line. I still think is our most important player and love having him on the Celtics, but that is way out there wrong. If he said what he claims, he could still come out and say, "I am sorry if you misunderstood. I talk a lot of crap, but never meant or said what Charlie is claiming." From everything I have heard he never said sorry for that. It would not be too much to ask to make that statement.

3 pages for such a silly topic/thread ::)

Moral policing on CB is on the rise....thank god Celtics management doesn't have such standards....our players will have to quit playing basketball and take up apologising as a full time job. Charlie V...you are an ugly bald dude...a cancer for your team and this league...there...good luck trying to get me to apologise now.

If Kevin Garnett didn't say it, then I will say.

Charlie Villanueva really does look like a cancer patient.

He runs to whine on the internet faster than Star Wars geeks ran out of The Phantom Menace to whine on the internet about Jar Jar Binks.  He's so soft he couldn't beat up a girl.  Or maybe he can.  And there is no way that Delonte West would touch his mama.

Why should KG apologize for someone getting what he said wrong?  He apologized to cancer patients etc. who might have interperated it wrong. Charlie V needs to apologize for defamation and bering a tattle on twitter. Charlie V saying he wanted to get KG in a ring for a fight pretty much tells me he just wanted to start a verbal war with KG and make him look as bad as he possibly could think of.

1. KG doesn't need to apologize to anyone.

2. KG's statements were backed up by legit people, not just by some bystander and what does Mrs. Charlie have? All who sided with the whiner have is about KG's past and nothing really pertaining to the exact event and people actually believed a mere tweet more. ??? Wow, just.. Wow..

3. Having alopecia doesn't give Mrs. Charlie a halo. Does the phrase "Don't judge a book by its cover" not been used enough?

4. Danny Ainge said it best: "Charlie would never tweet 'KG said to me I am a cancer' because that's embarrassing to Charlie. So he's tries to discredit KG and tries to bring sympathy to himself. There's self-promotion in tweeting  -- all the time. You are talking about a guy who tweets in the middle of a game."

5. People wouldn't be having this argument if Mrs. Charlie kept this on court. His new motto is: Stay away from me or I'll attack you with social media. Lol at actually saying KG is fake tough while he acts tough on Twitter.

6. Mrs. Villa-whine-va should get a win first before he starts tweeting again. ;)
