As I said, I always try to stand up for the underdog and the only information we have is that West sucker punched Von Wafer. Now whether it is true or not, we don't know. But it's all that's out there. We will probably never know.
I still haven't heard real evidence of Von Wafer being a problem player. The only questionable thing is why he changed teams every year or half year and speculation, only, about locker room problems or discontent.
But we do already have real evidence of West's problems, i.e., his arrests, suspensions, etc. I like him and before the season started, there were alot of people here putting him down and saying they didn't want him. I stood up for him then, as I do not believe that a mental illness is his fault and with medication, it can be controlled. I even attributed his problems in the past to his Bipolar and gave him the benefit of the doubt.
So when this incident came around, it shocked me as it shocked everyone here. I cannot just blow it off and say all guys fight. I would totally freak if any of our better players fought with each other. That just wouldn't be cool at all.
Anyway, that is why I automatically put the finger on West. Without perfect knowledge, none of us really know. But with the little knowledge I do have, it doesn't look good for West.
