Chris Bosh proves he is commited to playing D

To be honest, I actually thought Bosh did a solid job defensively on Garnett last night.  Garnett was challenged on almost every shot he took.  I was pretty impressed.

Yeah, he really was not bad defensively.  I just think they need a more stout interior defender to put next to him.

My bigger concern was on the offensive end.  He needs to hit the offensive boards harder.

Watching the game, my biggest long-term worry is the ability of our starters to score consistently against theirs.  We're gonna need Rondo to dominate against that unit because our Big 3 can't take any of theirs one-on-one.  The Heat will be very scary defending the perimeter once they get some reps in.

Bosh did good work defensively last night. He didn't get as many rebounds as he needs to however. Not for lack of effort he was hitting the offensive glass pretty hard.

Rondo created almost all of the offense in the first quarter and when the starters were in. The Celtics let him run the show with the exception of a few Shaq post ups. I was very encouraged with how they let Rondo do that.

The only time they ran the offense through anyone else was when LeBron was on the bench while Pierce was on the court. They correctly let him go to work at that point.

My only offensive complaint last night was KG's poor play on that end. He had a bad 4th QTR too.

Definitely - Rondo was great and Doc's plan of attack was very smart.  But over a 7-game series when they've had 6 months to work the kinks out, it'll be very tough for Rondo to keep that up.

Probably, but Rondo is still our best offensive option at this point. Plus there is only so much Miami can do with their personal. They'd definitely force him to finish more if they had to play last night's game over but he's proven he can do that.

He left Garnett pretty open from the outside most of the night and didn't really seem to change anything for us on the inside. I get the impression that he knows he's the 3rd wheel on that tricycle and just didn't want to get in Lebron or Wade's way...

Offensively I think that's definitely true, he's not used to being a role player.

I thought the same thing about Haslem being more valuable last night than Bosh.  They are lucky to have held on to Haslem.  They just don't have enough size.

I didn't even know when Bosh was in the game at times. Haslem and even Anthony had more of an impact.

They will be a good team, but I can't wait for the "Heat Index" to get shut down by January.

I'll be curious to see this team when they get Mike Miller back. If they go with a big backcourt, how do we guard them? Pierce still takes LeBron regardless if he is running the point (as he was basically doing last night anyway). Rondo on Miller? Rondo on Wade? Who guards Rondo? My guess would be Wade, as I don't think he can handle chasing Ray (unless the hamstring really was bothering him) and is probably their best perimeter defender.

Wade, LeBron and Bosh won't be able to play 30+ minutes together a gam, because if you take out 2+ at a time, their second unit will get crushed by most second units.
