Which should I do?

Listen to the first half in the car
DVR the game, and catch up when I get home (being careful not to get any info over the radio on my home)

Hi Redz,

I think the DVR is one of the greatest inventions of all time.
Even when I'm home, I usually just dvr it and wait an hour or so(or until next morning) just to avoid all the commercials and most of the halftime stuff.
BUT- there is the occasional time when the dvr doesn't work- either I set the wrong channel or something else goes wrong. Think how bad you'd feel if you don't listen to the first half and get home and find that the dvr didn't work!

DVR for me. Listening it on the radio can be very frustrating, especially when you hear the enthusiasm of broadcasters after some another spectacular play. I'd get home and watch it comfortably without any distractions and aslo without the annoying timeout commercials.

  • Yup
for those of you just dying to know  ::)

I ended up watching the whole game on DVR.  I got in the car and listened to the pregame.  I was getting pretty fired up, but switched off right before tipoff.

Ended up finishing the game about 3 minutes slower than real time despite starting at 8:40!

That's exactly what I would have done Redz.  Oh and sorry for not giving my two cents on what you should have done.  I haven't been on much lately.

I do miss hearing Grande and Max though because I really enjoy them, but I always will watch a game over listen to one.

You can't listen to any of it on the radio. DVR it and watch it from the beginning at home. Just bring ear plugs for the ride and don't make eye contact.

I am an expert at this tactic.  I have successfully gone on dates with my wife during World Series games, RED SOX WORLD SERIES GAMES, and kept in the blind (even going so far as to send my wife into the house first to instruct the baby sitter to not give me any clues if she knows any).

Holy! Is that possible? Lol.
