Have fun ridin the pine in miami mr house.
I think it's possible that Eddie could actually play a significant role in helping spread the floor if they are going to succeed down there.

I don't hate Eddie...he was a Boston Celtic and I wish im luck, just not against us.  I think he probably made, what to him, seemed like a good and prudent decision to join the Miami heat.  He wasn't under contract, and the situation wasn't as bright in Boston then as it is now...

p.s.  I usu my middle fingers every day...try typing without them...oh, wait...maybe you do.   ;D

Sounds like its getting to them already.   Fans pay to have those seats, and they have opinions and cajole the players.  Sounds like the cracks are beginning to show and this was an attempt at Bravado to deflect some of the trouble.

Its only going to make things worse for them.

I have a feeling that just cost him a portion of his modest salary, so hopefully Lebron or Wade take him out for a nice dinner for doing the dirty work for them.  Ultimately I have no problem with the statement though.  It is the mentality they have to take on.  If they want to win, they are going to have to embrace the role of villains, and just ignore (or feed off) the negativity around them.

Frankly, this kind of statement scares me a bit as a C's team, because it tells me that they might be embracing that role, and that is not good news.

I've always liked Eddie... i like that he don't take no... grief.. from nobody.

And it's refreshing to see that not every player on that team is a businessman seeking to build their brand and get a degree in diplomacy while they're at it. One more cliched interview out of those boys and I might vomit.

The only way that'll happen is if there are some major injuries or they move Wade over to the 1.  They've got Arroyo and Chalmers eating up all the minutes at PG.  With Wade and Bron both averaging at least 36 minutes and maybe more, there's only 24 minutes available combined at those spots.  With Mike Miller and James Jones consuming all the time at the 3, the most Eddie could play is just over 10 minutes a game.  Given his size and lack of handle, he'll be lucky to get that.

It's good to see House still has more intestinal fortitude than the guy that took his talents to Miami.

I just hope he doesn't get hot against us in ECF.

The only time Eddie House gets hot anymore is when he's lying out on the beach.  I loved Eddie Money as much as anyone when he was here, but his play tailed off quite a bit when he was here last year and he never got it going in New York.  I wasn't a fan of the trade at the time, but Nate Robinson >>>> Eddie.

Not sure how much Eddie's even going to play.  Arroyo and Chalmers are competing for the starting job, you'd figure the loser would be the de-facto backup but that in reality, most of the "point guard" duties are going to be handled by LeBron, Wade, and even Mike Miller.  Not sure how much Eddie gets on the court.

I'm aware of his drop off in #'s late last year.  I don't consider it a large enough data point to disapprove the other 10 years of him making lots of 3's.

I agree though that the trade for Robinson was a steal.  He brings everything House (actually not everything House really gets hot, unlike almost anyone else in the league) with ability to handle the ball and get to the rim.

It wasn't just his mediocre numbers in New York; he seemed to be slumping pretty much the entire early part of the season here.  He was still hitting his 3s at a decent clip (November/December he was still hitting at around 37%).  But, with all of the negatives Eddie brings on the court (medicore ball handling, bad defense, etc), in my mind he really needs to be hitting the longball at north of 40%, or you really need to be looking to upgrade.

Seems to me like Eddie is very much a deep-bench weapon for the Heat - I don't doubt that he can get hot and win a game or two for them, but you've got to figure with the scoring weapons they'll be trotting out every night, they aren't going to be needing to look in his direction all that much.

Who can see Eddie House having a 20+ point game against us?  Something like 5 straight 3s.

I highly doubt it.

He will be in when Wade and/or Lebron are out of the game, so the need to double won't be there as much. West or Nate can stay with him.

I'd be surprised if he averages more than 5 PPG (for the season) and hit double digits once against the C's.

But keep doing what you do best Eddie, run that mouth, I really don't mind.

That's the type of player Eddie is:  brash and confident.  If he was in Boston, he'd be talking the same way about our team.  I can't fault him for his words here.
