Von Wafer does not provide anything to this team that they do not already have. I think he would be the most logical cut, but who knows what will eventually happen.
I remember a few years ago, the Celtics had acquired Luke Jackson in a trade with the Cavaliers. He made a few 3's in the preseason. He looked good enough to get a spot on the roster, though he was cut.
So what's my point?
Today Tommy Heinsohn said that teams generally tend to take a closer look at bigs. Considering the way Lasme has played, and the dimension he brings (hustle 3/4 with athletic ability), he is the least likely to be cut IMO. He was really finishing around the hoop today. Plus he is active on defense. Generally young players only want to play one side of the floor but he has shown me that he is up to the task on both ends.
BTW For those who want Harangody gone, remember he was a 2nd round pick. And I think he was already signed to a guaranteed contract. Plus he has improved drastically from game 1 of the preseason. The delivery of his shot and comfort level are definite areas of improvement.
