good stuff:
* starters looked good.  Ray and PP had their offense going, Shaq was actually running the floor and KG was looking really good on D.
* Nate was active and looking like a solid sparkplug off the bench.
* Erden looked like he'll be a contributor.  if not much this year, definitely by next year.
* Delonte looked really solid all around
* Lasme looks like he could beat out Wafer for the 15th spot

OK
* BBD had good energy but he's still not an answer in the post on O
* Mario West looked ok but he was outplayed by Lasme

Not as good as hoped
* Daniels just didn't contribute as much as I had hoped.  hopefully he'll do better as the preseason goes
* Wafer didn't look particularly good
* Luke hustled but needs to do much better to make sure he makes the team.  He's no guarantee after tonight.

I think Semih contributes this year and Luke spends some time up in Portland.
I pretty much figured Luke for Maine this season with maybe Erden as the 12th man until Perk gets back.  It's looking more and more like that's what will happen

Oh, and Brandon Wallace?  I'd go with the Powe and EW comparisons ahead of that.

So, quick wrap up..

Marquis looked good. Most of his offense was created by Nate, but he really pulled his vintage game where he snakes to the basket for easy lay-ups. Loved it, its exactly what we need.

KG looked pretty fluid out there. Shots weren't falling, but they weren't for anyone out there tonight.

Erden was ridiculous out there.. I had no idea he had it in him. Exact same for Lasme. Pulling out 11 points in quick work. I'm hoping this kid gets some sort of shot. It never hurts to have the extra length.

Only bad thing out there was Wafer.. I was pretty let down by him. That tech at the end was embarrassing.

All in all, good game. Glad to finally be chatting with ya'll during the games again. Feels great after this long off-season.

I agree with all of this--'cept Luke was also struggling.

Based on what we saw today, I don't think there is a way that Wafer or Mario West will make this team.

The rest look fine. To me, it looks like Lasme, Bradley and Perkins will start the season on the inactive list, and Erden and Harangody will be on the roster but play less than 10 minutes per game or rack DNPs.

I agree with this.

If not for the West suspension and the Bradley injury, I could see Lasme making the roster.

I went to college with Mr. Lasme. He is a great guy, and I hope that he makes the team. He has earned everything thus far and I expect him to keep working hard.

I don't think anyone thought Mario had a real chance. He actually looked pretty good pressuring the ball but we already have an All-Defensive team PG and a quick and scrappy back up behind that.. Who also has an offensive game, unlike Mario.

I've read that Wafer has 250K guaranteed on his contract. I hope that doesn't deter Wyc from keeping Lasme over him if he continues to be outplayed.

I doubt that will really effect the decision. A 9 man rotation isn't anything to worry about for the first 10 games with Daniels and Robinson splitting the backup sg minutes. Plus it looks like Avery will be back before the start of the season as he was in uniform tonight.

150k guaranteed, and I won't be surprised if he is cut.

The C's knew Mario West offered next to nothing on offense so I don't see how he lost any chance of a roster spot in tonight's effort.

Hopefully that little extra money won't be enough to keep him from getting waived. I'd really like Lasme as a big SF.

Mario is just redundant, though. No point in keeping him around after camp, imo.

Marquise "Danials looked like TA, turnovers.....except TA can guard the best shooting guards and 3's in the league...!

Huh? Daniels was actually pretty impressive, I thought. Quietly impressive.

ditto, i thought Daniels looked pretty good out there.

Once again forced to watch the replay ... love to see Shaq running, and the Sixers still flopping like crazy. ;)

"Moline, IL"?!
Hmmm... Why am I not surprised?

Good win, though.
