Key Players to Watch
Reports are that KG has been explosive and in 2008 shape.  Celtics fans will be watching to see for themselves.

Instead of getting to see JO and Shaq, we are going to be treated to seeing Shaq and Semih.  Erden has been getting good reviews in camp and it will be good to see him in a game situation.  After JO comes back, we won't get to see  him all that much.

Word out of camp is that Delonte is making the most of his chance here and according to Paul Pierce has been the 3rd best player in camp.  It's been a long time since we have seen Delonte in green and it will be good to see him back.

Roster
Tony Battie **
Craig Brackins
Elton Brand
James Florence **
Spencer Hawes
Jrue Holiday
Andre Iguodala
Jason Kapono
Jodie Meeks
Andres Nocioni **
Trent Plaisted
Chris Quinn
Darius Songaila
Marreese Speights
Evan Turner
Louis Williams
Thaddeus Young
** Injured

Players to Watch
Elton Brand hasn't worked out in Philly like they hoped but they are still paying him more than $15 million and maybe this is the year he will break out for them.

Andre Iguodala is back from Turkey with his gold medal and ready to once again try to lead the Sixers to the playoffs.  He can go off for a big game at any time.

Sixers fans are very high on Jrue Holiday and Coach Doug Collins believes Holiday should be one of the top five point guards in the NBA this season.

Game Notes:

Both coaches will be looking to try different lineups and rotations and determine which players are going to make the team.  Doc will probably use his regular starting 5 and then mix and match through the game.  But, in the preseason, anything is possible and it's hard to name a starting 5 or discuss the matchups, especially in the first game.

  CELTICS BASKETBALL IS FINALLY BACK!!!

It says on the Celtics.com schedule that this game will be on TNT, but I haven't seen this anywhere else, does anyone know if it really is on TNT, obviously it would be great if it is, but it seems odd to have the 1st preseason game from Manchester on national tv.

Does anyone know if any of the preseason games will be on International League Pass (Broadband - whatever it's called because I forget LOL)? I will get it but I just need to know when to get it. As always your help is worth a Tommy Point (or two) and thanks in advance.

You get more than one TP from me for this, (takes me a little longer, tho). I should be home late Monday, so I can annoy people on the game thread as usual! Awesome!!!!! Go Celtics!!!!

I was an exciting, interesting summer for the Celtics, but it was still, well, just summer.  I have been getting more and more itchy for real basketball and now that you have posted your usual great stuff, I know the time is almost here!  Thanks for this and thanks in advance for all your hard work!  Wooo Wooo....Go Celts!  UBUNTU!
