Having Delonte aboard, in my opinion, makes Shaq even more valuable. Shaq's in the middle, surrounded on the perimeter with Delonte and Wafer. Nate could be in the place of Delonte, although he's a streakier shooter.
Could maybe run a small-ball lineup with Delonte/Wafer/Ray Allen - three guys who you can't leave alone.
We've got three good choices for power forwards who can hit the elbow jumper - KG, JO, and BBD. Probably KG, since he can help cover for Shaq's slowness on the defensive end.
Toss the ball in to Shaq, if they double him Shaq's been one of the best in the league for his whole career at passing out of the double team and getting the ball to the open man. There will be four guys on the floor who can hit a jump shot. If they don't double-team him... well, a lot more often than not, that's two points.
I don't see Shaq on the floor with Rondo a lot, he will tend to clog the middle - but we've got enough shooters to surround him where I really think Shaq could be a difference maker in the second unit.
I mean, really... WHAT backup center is going to be able to defend Shaq one-on-one?
