He would'nt accept a check from the celts. Ainge is a "snake", right? He also said we "still would'nt win s#it" if we got Oden did'nt he? While true, there was some bitterness there from Toine.I say let some other team bail him out.I'd personally love to see him end his career in a laker uniform. He can wear Kobe's old number eight.

Well...Was he right about the Oden part?   I think he was.  Oden STILL hasn't done JACK for the Trailblazers and in the meantime, the Celtics have won a title.  Toine, in a way, was correct.  ;)

Right, and Ainge, in a way, said he was prepared to draft Durant. So that's, in a way, irrelevant.

If we had drafted Durant, we may have been significantly closer than the OKC Thunder to a title, being in the EC and all.

But had we drafted Durant, we sure as heck wouldn't have won banner #17.

I wouldn't trade banner #17 for 4 Toines.

If Ainge said that, I don't believe him.  Doc said just this summer that he wanted Oden and that people say that now that Oden has been injury prone and Durant has been healthy and great.  I was glad to hear him admit it.  Even knowing how Durant is faring now, IF Oden was healthy, I'd still take him over Durant.

I wanted Oden back then, but I'm not sure how you could take a healthy Oden over Durant at this point.  I mean, we have never really seen him healthy, so we have no idea how good he would be.

I saw this the other night and it gave me chills. Antoine is the first Celtic’s captain i ever knew and i have a great fondness for him. That being said we don’t need him on this team, I feel like either The Pacers, or The Suns would be a good fit because of their poor depth at PF.

Tyler Hansbrough isn’t enough to fill the position in Indiana, and hopefully Larry Bird knows it. ‘Toine would also  be playing for former coach Jim O’Brien.

Warrick and Frye aren’t gonna cut it in Phoenix, especially since both will probably see time at center. Walker and Nash played together in Dallas. Also, Antoine knows how to shoot the three in transition, plus he could provide some nice leadership for the younger bigs.

I truly believed we had finally reached that momentous point in history where "Bring Back 'Toine" threads had breathed their last ... I take complete responsibility for my ignorance in not having learned by now that the tenaciousness of the human spirit knows no bounds ... especially where sports and fandom are concerned. ;) Thank you for the smile, GomesFan, (TP), it was much needed!

Toine looks fit and slim in that video.

I bet if no team takes Toine before camp...any injury to our front court will result in Toine being a Celtic for the 3rd and most great time!

Eh, no comparison. Durant and Oden (when healthy) are legitimate franchise players.  Delonte and Banks, not so much. There were more people that wanted Oden than Durant for a reason.

Back to topic:  I can't wait to see who gives Toine a chance.

He looks good in the video but we don’t need him. I wish him the absolute best, and i hope he can jump onto a championship caliber team. I’m routing for ‘Toine.

But....

I don’t understand the resentment some people here show towards him, what did he do that was so wrong? Are you sick of HIM because some kids here post about him alot? I just don’t get it.
